Eva’s pov
The doorbell rang and I stood up, struggling as I managed to balance the weight of my body on my feets. I knew it was Lorenzo and Dante. Dante had messaged me earlier, asking if he could pick up Lorenzo from school and I’d said yes. I wasn’t feeling too well and needed all the rest I could get.
Upon opening the door, Lorenzo instantly ran into my arms.
“Mama, how are you feeling now? Are you feeling any better?” He asked, his little hands pulling my cheeks.
“Yes, I’m feeling a bit better.” I said, holding my banging head as Lorenzo delved deeper into my embrace.
“How was your day though?” I asked him.
