His jealousy

It's been now few years since he met Emily. He found Emily very kind and cute, he didn't know after years of not admitting his true feelings for here will be still pestering him till today. He always teases him every now and then.They have gotten so comfortable around each other. Emily now works at a clothing store while Jim stays at home and cooks.

Today he was helping Emily to get vegetables from the market. When walking on the way, a guy walked passed them and winked at Emily. When Jim saw this he coldly glanced back at him and held Emily's hand making it seem like they were a couple. Emily didn't understand his sudden actions as she didn't notice him looking back at the guy that just passed them.

"Why are you holding my hand like I'm going to get lost? "

Jim looked at her and smiled." Of course you are going to get lost, you're a baby remember?" he felt like teasing her.

" no I'm not. As far as I remember I'm turning 27 in the next 2 months."she quickly lets go off his hand and crossed her arms.

" Well, you might be a grown up to other people... but to me you are still my baby." he gently taps on her nose and said" Boop"

Emily felt embarrassed after he did that to her and specifically calling her his baby. She turns to look away from him so she can hide her blushing face.

When they arrived at the busy market Emily picked some fresh veggies, when she was about to pick a broccoli Jim begged him not to add broccoli for dinner tonight. Emily smiled evilly and said," If you behave today then I won't."

"Why must I behave when I'm always obedient?"

Emily rolls her eyes before saying," You don't listen to me"

Jim scratched the back of his head and smiled sheepishly realizing that he always go against Emily. He always do something to annoy her ." okay I will behave" he said unwillingly.

" Good. Now I'll just buy this just in case." she proudly smiled at herself.

On their way home, Emily saw the ice cream truck and immediately craved for an ice cream. She pulls Jim's arm and pointed at the ice cream truck that was selling ice cream to people.

" Little Cub, I want ice cream." she said childishly.

" We have ice cream at home lets go." He pulls Emily to get going but Emily refused.

" Well that one is not covered with sprinkles." she was just trying to annoy him.

" Emi I don't have time to play. Lets go it's getting late." Jim didn't know why she was acting stubbornly.

" no I want ice cream and you promise you would listen to me at market." she reminds him of what he said earlier.

Jim sighed and didn't know what trick she was playing. He tries to threaten her, " I will leave you here all by yourself if you don't come with me."

Emily didn't mind walking alone so she stood there stubbornly. Jim decided to leave her and walks away thinking Emily might get scared and follow him behind. But as he looks back, she was still standing in the same place frowning. Jim gives in and groans

" Fine I'll buy you ice cream, happy?"

Emily walked to him feeling proud of herself for her successful plan. He pulls her to sit at a nearby bench while he waits in line. Emily was overjoyed in her heart when she was his annoyed face walking towards the ice cream truck.

The long line made Jim get angry. He makes a promise in his heart to get her back as he realized that she was doing this on purpose. It all makes sense now, no wonder why she was acting that way. He chuckles in his heart saying " You have made a big mistake messing with me. Wait till I get you back "

Emily was enjoying the view when a guy walks towards her holding two ice creams. Emily felt annoyed when he came up to her.

" hey, mind if I sit?" the guy said in a kind voice.

" not at all, you can sit. Emily moved giving him a space.

When he sat down he said.." Thank you. I'm Tristan by the way, but you can call me Tris." his voice was friendly.

" Nice to meet you, Tris. I'm Emily."

" Nice to meet you. I guess I can say you have a lovely name " his voice was steady.

" Thank you." she said smiling.

" Hope chocolate is your favorite." he said giving her the chocolate flavored ice cream politely.

Chocolate was indeed her favorite but she said no. Tris insisted as he was going to throw it away if she refused. Emily ended up accepting the ice cream. Few minutes after Jim shows up with a vanilla ice cream in his hand. His face was cold as ice when he saw Emily talking happily with another guy and worst of all she eating an ice cream bought by the guy who was sitting next to her.

He quickly walked up to them and snatched the ice cream Emily was enjoying and throws it to the ground. Both Emily and Tristan were shocked. Seeing what happened Emily and Tristan got up at the same time. Tristan wasn't happy by his sudden actions and neither was Emily.

"Why did you do that?" Emily tried to suppress her anger.

Jim glanced coldly at Tristan and said " She doesn't want your ice cream, I already bought her one. " his voice was cold sending chills down his spine.

" Aren't you going to apologize?" Emily didn't know what had gotten into him just now.

Instead of answering her question, he gave her the ice cream and hugged her waist." As you can see I'm back you can now scram."

Tristan was taken by a surprise and decided to leave. When he was leaving Emily apologized to him on Jim's behalf she didn't know what got into his head. Jim bent down and grabs the two plastics full of vegetables and walks away coldly leaving Emily behind.

Seeing she was left behind she quickly runs to catch up with him. She didn't understand why he was doing this. She thought maybe he was still angry for annoying him earlier, but didn't know that he was just jealous. When she gets to him she wraps her arm around his and leanes her head to his shoulder.

Jim looked at her and hides away his smile. What she just did made him blush a little. Emily looked at him and pretends to offer him to have the some of the ice cream, but immediately pulls it away when he was about to lick it. Emily laughed seeing his angry expression she found it cute.

Meanwhile Jim was now mad at her for real, how could she do this to him and expect to get away just like that?Jim begins to think of a plan to get her back. He pushes her away from his arms but Emily got back in forcefully. When the people passing by saw this they either laughed lightly by how cute the couple is, or get envy of them.
