The missing CEO

Second day of work at the restaurant

the next day Emily wakes up and went to wake up Jim. The got ready at the same time and Jim accompanied her till she got into a cab. After making sure she was safe he headed to the restaurant.

When he arrives his manager introduced him to the chefs and the others. Only the females and few other males seemed friendly to him. He went to his locker and changed into his uniform, when he was about to leave Andrew enters. He scanned him carefully.

Jim felt uncomfortable as he was being looked at. He decided to leave but Andrew pushed him and pinned him against the wall. As he did this he expected Jim to be afraid as he was older than him, but he didn't expect himself to be the one that gets a little afraid when Jim looked at him with cold deadly eyes.

Jim eyes showed no fear, making Andrew grew angrier. " You better stay in your lane little boy before I break those legs of yours." His voice was full of threats which Jim find them empty.

" Do whatever you want." Jim wasn't in the mood to make trouble but if someone provoked him, he will make that person pay.

Upon hearing his reply Andrew needed to teach him a lesson. He raised his fist and aimed it to his face. Jim wasn't moved at all he stood there waiting for him. When Andrew was about to punch him, Salvador and the other male Jim doesn't know by name, enters the changing room. Andrew quickly let Jim go looking at him with cold eyes and went to his locker.

" Hey Jim " Salvador waved his hand.

Jim only nodded and smiled, Salvador and George were the only males that were friendly to him. Jim didn't understand why others dislike him. He got his waist apron and left the room. The restaurant was opening up at 8:00 and there was only 15 minutes left before it opens. Jim decided to go to the front counter and leaned there.

Isabella was sitting at a table scrolling through her phone when she noticed Jim standing not far from her. She stared at him for a long time before Jim looked at her direction. She found him handsome but she didn't like him like all the other girls around here. She only sees him as just a co-worker. When Jim looked at her direction he smiled friendly at her. Isabella did the same and walked up to him.

" Hi... Jim right?" her voice was sweet

" Yes and you are...?" Jim didn't remember her name.

" I'm Isabella, nice to meet you." she offered a hand shake.

Jim shaked her hand and realized that her hand is so soft. Jim rubbed her palm with his thumb mesmerized and took her other hand. Isabella felt embarrassed and confused. Jim looked at her before complimenting her how soft her hands were.

" Wow your hands are so soft." he let them go feeling it was a bit inappropriate.

" Oh thank you." she smiled putting some of her hair at the back of her ear.

When Andrew saw this scene his eyes grew more envy and jealous of Jim. He deliberately called Isabella to help him with something. Jim sat down and took out his phone. He wanted to call Emily but he decided to text her

instead.

" HEY EM.❣️" he patiently waited for her reply.

After 2 seconds she texts him back.

" HEY MY LITTLE CUB IS EVERYTHING OKY??"

" HOPE I DIDN'T DISTURB YOU WITH ANYTHING "

" NO. HOW IS WORK? "

" I HAVEN'T STARTED YET."

" I MISS YOU LOVE ?" When he sent this message he gently smiled.

When Emily saw his massage she blushed and took her three minutes to reply.

" STOP TALKING NONSENSE AND GET BACK TO WORK ?"

" ALRIGHT YOU'RE THE BOSS?" he put away his phone and to take the two couple that just entered.

At lunch Jim called Emily and they chatted for a while. When they ended the call Jim went to the bathroom. When he enters he found Andrew and Mike chatting at the sink, they looked at him differently when he passes them. He made use of the toilet and got out and went to the sink to wash his hands. Andrew and Mike looked at each other as if they were giving signals to each other and blocked his way.

Jim sighed and asked " What do you want? I don't want to cause any trouble."

Andrew stepped forward and speaks lowly with anger." Maybe you should stay away from Isabella and Katrina... Infact just stay away from all the females around here."

Jim wanted to laugh but he he holds it inside his stomach. " Well I don't have a problem with that. But can they stay away from me?" he said this in a mocking tone.

Andrew holds him up with and warned" You better watch your tongue young man, you are no match for me."

Jim just looked at him without wearing an expression on his face. Andrew let's him go and leaves the bathroom with Mike.

Andrew and Mike were both jealous of the way he looked and how he makes every girl that sees him go crazy over him. Him coming to the restaurant has been a threat to Andrew and Mike. They are afraid that he might take their dream girls away from them, so all they could do is try to scare him away so he could leave.

After lunch was over Jim was walking to the table that a man just came in. When he walks closer and closer to him, he recognized him and quickly turned around calls Katrina to serve him. The man Jim was running away from was Uncle Jeff who used to work at the Johnson's mansion as a servant. He didn't want him to see him as he was afraid he might call his dad and tell him about his whereabout.

He went to the back pretending to look for something. When his manager saw him he told him to go back and see if there are people who needs to be served. Jim walked back unwillingly and slowly to in order to buy time. When he got at the front Uncle Jeff was on his way to the door. He felt reliefed a moment later but the next moment he got scared when he saw uncle Jeff coming in again.

He quickly goes down and hid behind the counter. When Katrina saw Jim down she was confused and didn't think much of it as there was a customer she had to take care of. When she was done talking to uncle Jeff, she looked down at him and asked.

" What are you doing down there? "

"uhm... I was cleaning the floor, it looked dirty so I bent down to clean it. Hehe" he pretended to clean the floor and laughed awkwardly as he knew that he looked silly.

Katrina grabbed her tray and went to another table still confused by Jim acts.
