Chapter Three Tanner His blue eyes glared down at me, surrounded by thick, blond lashes. Nostrils flared, and he pressed his lips together in a grim straight line. Staring down at me was my former best friend from high school, a relationship I had destroyed. Griffin looked nothing like he did when we were at Benedictine College Prep together. His voice had deepened, and somehow it made him even hotter than I remembered. Anger came off him in waves, but I wished it wasn’t directed at me. When I opened my mouth to speak, nothing came out.
