Chapter Six Griffin- 12 Years Ago We entered church two at a time, with the Brothers of the monastery going first, followed by the seniors. It was the first day of school at Benedictine College Prep, a military day school. Since I was a brand new freshman, our class was dead last, with Father Abbot Richard, who was in charge of the school bringing up the rear behind me and the new kid. The Brothers from Mary Mother of The Church Abbey all bowed before the altar while the rest of the school filed into our seats while still standing. “In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.” Father Abbot said, crossing himself.
