Chapter 2
“You’re later than usual. What’s up?” Dad asks us when we enter the coffee shop. There aren’t that many customers by the time we come home. So, I doubt that dad is having trouble with managing the customers on his own. “Something unexpected happened to us. I’ll tell you in details after we close the coffee shop,” I reply. Dad nods his head. We feel relieved that dad doesn’t press us to tell him about what happened to us on our way home.
We then head upstairs to get ready. We still need to go down and help dad with serving the customers. We expect that there will be more customers coming until the closing time. But those who come when the closing time is near usually order coffee as a takeaway. They don’t have any intention to drink here. Besides, they don’t want to trouble us f
