Dear John,
That’s a funny way to start, because this is not a ‘Dear John’ letter, not by a long shot. I hope you remember me and are thinking of me even a little. I told you how I feel and so I won’t make it a federal case. When a girl gives her heart the first time, she wants it to be the last time she ever does. I love you and am waiting for you. You may come home and walk right by me at the station, but I don’t care. I have this big love for you inside me and it’s what is making my world real. I hope you write back soon.
