Magnolia We ran through the woods for what seemed like forever. I could hear the water and other sounds of the bayou. Being jostled around made me feel sick to my stomach, so I stayed as still as I possibly could, hoping for it to end soon. I could hear voices when we finally stopped though they sounded familiar I couldn’t remember much with the silver cuff making my mind foggy. I was no longer outdoors with the sound of the ground going from leaves and mud to concrete. The night air was surrounding me anymore, but the room felt cold and damp. They placed me down into what felt like a metal chair, chaining me to it. They put the chains so tight that I could feel them digging into my flesh.
