Varg's Pov My head throbbed as I sipped the coffee, the bitterness doing little to dull the ache. Memories of the previous night swirled in my mind, fragmented but vivid enough to make my stomach churn. I wasn’t the type to drink myself into oblivion, but after everything that had happened, I’d given in. I hadn’t anticipated waking up to the aftermath of... intimacy. And with her, of all people, the one responsible for upending my life. She sat on the couch near the window, her gaze fixed on me, wide-eyed and accusing. Her expression was a mixture of shock and hurt, as if I’d just spoken the most unforgivable words. But it was the truth. She had taken advantage of me, a man too intoxicated to think clearly. I wasn’t in my right mind last night, and I wasn’t going to pretend otherwise.
