{Viktor’s POV}
I saw the way that Dimitri smirked at Adrien, and of course he just had to pick a fight with him about Clara. Him finding out that she’s his sister, and not competition made me chuckle slightly. The glare that Adrien shot him when Dimitri kissed Clara’s hand had me holding in a laugh.
I shook my head when he asked if there was anything he could help with. “No, we’re fine.. why don’t you go check on Daniella.. I haven’t heard from her most of the day. She’s probably going shopping.. again.. why don’t you go with her? Maybe get an outfit for our friend Clara here.. hers was kind of.. torn up.”
Dimitri looked back over at her, his eyes scanning her face, for the first time, I watched him flinch slightly when he noticed the bruising on her eye, and her split bottom lip. “I got it.. I’ll go get her something more comfortable to wear, any special requests?” He asked.
“No, no, no, please, don’t trouble yourselves on my account.. my luggage is in Ducky’s car.. I can simply go grab another outfit.” She said, pointing back at the doorway.
“Dimitri, go grab her luggage, you two, follow me to my office.” I said, before turning and leading them down the hall, into my office. As we made it inside I ushered them in, not long after Dimitri came bursting through the doorway with a suitcase.
“Here you go, I’ll take you to the bathroom, so you can get cleaned up and changed.” Dimitri said, leading her from the room. “I’ll stay right outside the door, so just let me know if you need anything.”
I turned to Adrien before walking to my seat and sitting down with a heavy sigh. “You should have told me she’d be with you.. I wouldn’t have sent you to that house..”
“This is my job Vik, and I did tell you that I had her with me, remember?” He sighed, crossing his arms and leaning back against the wall.
I thought back to our conversation earlier, and realized he did tell me that he had her with him.. I was just drowning in paperwork so I didn’t really care enough to listen. “Da****.. I’m sorry.. I’ve just been.. so busy..” I groaned. “I should’ve been paying more attention.. I should have listened to you.”
“I should have just taken her home first.. no matter how long it took, at least she would be okay right now.” He sighed.
“It’s my fault..” a small voice came from the doorway. I looked over, seeing a cleaned up Clara. Her hair was pulled up into a high ponytail, with her curly bangs down around the sides of her face. She was wearing a sundress, it was pale pink, with cherry blossoms on it. It hugged her perfectly, and I was able to see her curves. I gulped, before turning to look at the wall behind me. I couldn’t look at her right now.. da****.. I hadn’t felt this way in so long.. I haven’t even been attracted to any woman since Margo. “If I had just stayed in the truck.. none of this would have happened. I-I’m sorry Ducky..” she whimpered, hearing her voice breaking like that made me angry all over again. If I could, I’d bring those bas***** back to life, just to ki** them again.
I turned around just in time to see her inches away from my face. She pulled back, her eyes going wide and a blush creeping across her face, even the tops of her ears began to turn red. “T-Thank you for helping me.. without you.. they.. they would have..” she said, her embarrassed face beginning to fade into a fearful expression. “Thank you.. for saving me.” She said softly, reaching out and grabbing my hand in hers. Her hands, they were so small, so frail, yet she had callouses.
I smiled softly at her. “N-No problem..” I said, staring down at our hands. Her hands were soft, and I couldn’t help myself from enjoying the feeling of her small, gentle hands cradling one of mine.
“So.. um.. you had some questions you wanted to ask me?” She asked, pulling away, before walking back to her brother’s side.
I cleared my throat, “Yes..” I said. “I want to know what exactly happened, if you saw anything out of the ordinary, or anything like that before those men took you.”
She looked to her brother, and he nodded, before she looked back over to me. “I-I..” she muttered, as she began to panic. “I heard someone talking.. so I walked over to the fence.. I tried to look inside, but someone was blocking my view.. that’s when they grabbed me.” She whimpered. “T-The man that grabbed me, he said ‘I can’t wait to see what the boss does with you.. Though, you are pretty.. maybe I don’t have to tell the boss about this yet.. you and I.. we could have some real fun!’” She began shaking, her whole body being rocked with small trembles.
“Okay.. you can stop..” I said, apparently too quietly, as she began crying, covering her ears and closing her eyes tightly.
“Another one said ‘She sure is a beauty, isn’t she? We figured.. the boss will get rid of her anyways, so why not have a little fun. It’d be a waste to not explore a body like this before she’s tossed in the ocean, right boys?’” Her whole body was shaking as her tears spilled down her cheeks.
“Okay, okay..” I said, walking to her and grabbing her shoulders softly. She looked up at me, those big, emerald green eyes piercing my soul. “You’re okay now.. I’m not going to hurt you. You didn’t do anything wrong, they did. It’s okay, you’re okay now.. you’re safe now.” I said softly pulling her into a gentle hug. “Adrien, I’m going to prepare some guest rooms for the night, the doctor will be here first thing in the morning, then the two of you are free to go. I can’t in good conscience let you two go without getting her properly looked at. I’ll send for a female doctor, that way she can get proper care, but still feel a bit more comfortable.” I said, looking down at her. “We’ll get you a room set up, for now, are you hungry, thirsty?”
