{Viktor’s POV} [This chapter contains themes of S/A, kidnapping, assault, and blood, reader discretion is advised.] The nights here lately have begun to drag along, ever since everything that happened with Margo, I have been launched to the forefront of an all out war. The prominent families demanded answers, cried out for retribution. I’ve been paying off my grandfather’s accomplices, trying my best to weed out the people who were dedicated to my grandfather and his cause. Most of them are rotting six feet under, with a few that have chosen life imprisonment. Cleaning up the mess my grandfather left behind has proven a difficult task to say the least. Finally though, after two years of trying.. two years of fighting.. things are finally beginning to come together. We’ve done away with anything to do with the Petrov name, changing our entire organization to the Nikolai group. Through endless nights, constant conversations, and enough shady business deals to fill a prison, we’re finally back to making a solid income, in fact, our profit over the past six months has surpassed anything my grandfather made in his last ten years as chairman. Sadly as the eldest.. I’ve also been given the position of mob boss.. something that I never wanted, but now, it seems I don’t have a choice. I suppose it helps that I’m so good at it, playing the cold, calculating villain is something I’ve become accustomed to. I sighed, lifting the papers from the desk in my office, pouring myself a shot of vodka, before taking a seat at my desk. It was late, around midnight when Adrien Mills, my cleaner, burst into my office. “Boss wait, she isn’t what you think!” He shouted, completely confounding me, I had no idea what he was taking about. I leaned back in my chair, setting down the papers I had just been looking at. “Who are you referring to?” I asked, crossing my arms over my chest. “T-They didn’t bring her here? Fu**.. what have they done with her?” He asked, panic evident in his voice, he was pacing back and forth, his body shaking. “Slow down Adrien, tell me what’s going on?” I asked, sitting up straight and placing my elbows on my desk. He shook his head. “You don’t understand.. my sister was with me when I got your call.. I had to take her with me.. she was waiting in the car.. when I went back out she was gone. One of those goons must’ve taken her.. I thought they’d bring her here.. but she isn’t here.. what have they done with my sister?” He shouted, hysterically. I stood up, rushing out the door, anyone found at any crime scene is meant to be brought to me immediately.. the fact that they didn’t bring her here means that they’ve taken her for themselves. Those pri*** know that they aren’t meant to hurt anyone without my permission. This is a mess, but I at least know where that group of idiots stay, I have to get there before it’s too late. I ran to my car jumping in and taking off towards their apartment complex. I made it there in record time, jumping from my car and rushing up the stairs. I could hear the group of them laughing, I kicked in the door, pulling my g**. Anyone who disobeys my direct order, gets cut off the food chain. I ran in, sho**** the one who was meant to be keeping guard, before pushing through into the main room. I pulled out my other pi**** and began mowing down the bas*****. Before long, it was just me standing in the center of a room of bodies. I heard a woman’s scream coming from one of the back rooms, and immediately darted for it. I tried to open the door, but it was locked. I stepped back, kicking the door and busting it down. I saw one of those as***** on top of a woman, her body completely sheltered by him. “What the he** are you?” He started, but when he saw it was me he froze. I grabbed him, pulling him off of her before punching him across the face. “You are a sick, bas*****, you don’t deserve to live!” I shouted, before pulling out my pi**** and ending him. I put away my g**, looking back into the room. The woman was tied up, her arms tied over her head to the headboard. She had a bag over her head, and the front of her shirt was torn open exposing her bra. I made my way to the bed, quickly untying her. “Let’s get you out of here.. your brother is waiting for you back at my house. I’m so sorry this happened..” I said, pulling the bag off her head. That’s when I saw her, she was beautiful.. and those bas***** almost hurt her.. I looked down seeing her lip was split, and her eye was black. They did hurt her.. I should have known these lowlives couldn’t be trusted, this is all my fault. I quickly took off my jacket and wrapped it around her, zipping it up. “Are you okay?” I asked, helping her stand up. She nodded, then shook her head, then nodded again. “I-I don’t know.. da**** I should have listened to Adrien.. I shouldn’t have gotten out of the da** truck..” She whimpered. “Where is ducky?” She asked, looking up at me. Her eyes were the most beautiful color green, deep, emeralds that I couldn’t stop staring into. The nickname caught me by surprise, causing me to let out a soft chuckle. “Ducky?” I laughed. “I assume you mean Adrien.. he’s at my house, my car is out front, if you want, you can use my phone and call him.” I said, pulling out my phone. “That way you know that you can trust me to get you to him safely.” She carefully took the phone and nodded. Dialing his number, I watched her shakily hold the phone, tears pricking in her eyes as he answered. “Did you find her?” He asked. “Ducky?” She whimpered. “Ducky I was so scared..” “Hey, hey, it’s okay Bean, Viktor’s with you now, he’ll bring you back here, and we’ll put this whole mess behind us. He has doctors that can check you out, and everything will be okay, okay?” He said, trying his best to calm her. She nodded, tears streaming down her face. “Okay, Ducky.. okay.. I’ll see you soon..” she replied, hanging up and handing me back my phone. “T-Thank you..” she whispered. I smiled softly down at her trying to put her at ease. “I’m sorry I didn’t get here sooner, are you okay?” I asked. “They.. um.. they didn’t get what they wanted out of me.. that guy that was in here.. he.. he was trying, but I didn’t stop kicking around..” she said, tears spilling down her cheeks. I knew she was traumatized, and walking her through a room filled with the bodies of the men that did this would probably only make things worse. I leaned down, holding out my arms. “Come on, I’ll pack you out.. just keep your eyes closed.. you don’t want to see what’s out there.” I said.
