Ally and the Alpha

Chapter 16

I looked up at Asher, horrified by what I had just done to him, why did I bite him, and why was he smiling? As I studied the mark I had just left on him, it began to heal itself, and soon, it was as if I had never bit him.

"That's was quite a turn on Ally," Asher said in a seductive tone.

I could feel my face going red, and I turned away. I was embarrassed. Asher moved his hand to my chin and slowly turned me to him.

I gulped, I wasn't ready to face him, and I knew my face would still be red, but once I looked at him he had a devilish smirk.

I bit my lip, Asher moved closer and kissed me, I moaned a little, his kisses made me want to melt.

BANG! the dining-room door. swag, open, "sorry Alpha," Leroy said. running in, "rogues are attacking." Asher growled at what Leroy had just said.

Asher pulled me off the table, as he did. Summer and Layla came in, "Ally, go with the girls now," Asher yelled. I just looked at everyone confused, what was going on? Rogues? Attack?

Summer must have noticed my confusion, as she grabbed my arm and began to drag me out of the room. I looked behind me to see all these men running outside, and some women.

" What's going on," I said finally, but no one replied. Summer and Layla took me downstairs to a room.

It looked like a safe room, a few beds, a bathroom and a kitchen. After we made it into the room, Summer finally spoke, " We are under attack by rogues. They are werewolves with no packs. I guess you could say they are feral," Layla nodded.

"They don't normally attack, and we generally don't hear from them, they live among humans mostly," Layla added.

I paced the room for a bit, then turned to the girls.

"So, we just wait here then?" I asked, " Yes, that's pretty much what we do, we have to keep you safe," Summer said, sitting on one of the beds.

" But what about, Asher," I asked. Layla smiled at me, then said "he's the alpha, he has been trained to fight them and anyone else."

"umm, what do you mean by anyone else's?" I asked, I hate not knowing anything.

Layla walked over to me, taking my hands in hers, she led me to the bed Summer was sitting on. we sat down too, Layla looked me in the eyes as if wondering if she should tell me,

"Just tell me," I said, she nodded, "well, werewolves are not the only supernatural species out there," I nodded my head taking this information in.

I guess I should have guessed as much, "so vampires?" I asked. They both nod their heads, "whiches?" I say and they nod, "fairies?" I continued, and they give me another nod, "ok, ok, I can live with that," I say as I rub my temples.

I don't know how long we had been in the safe room, but I fell asleep waiting, my dream was the same as last night. That dark room, seeing Jo, looking at my belly, and that shadow of a man.

His aura was dark, but this time he walked up to me and lifted my chin, he turned it from side to side taking in what I looked like, his touch was cold like ice.

But the feel of his gaze, brunt holes in my face. He moved his other hand to my waist and pulled me to him, he put his head close to my mark and took a deep breath, "you are beautiful," he purred in my ear.

Making me stiffen, I could feel my hands turn to fists, he then lowered himself to my belly. rubbing it, "don't worry, I will not hurt the babe," my fear was rising.

I was beginning to feel sick. I tried to step back. He did not like that before I knew it. His hand was around my throat, "you are mine now" he snapped, "if you disobey me. I will not hesitate to punish you," his words were harsh and the tone made me believe him.

I nodded "sorry" was all I could get out, "good girl," he said before he kissed me.

I jumped up from the bed, it was dark, I looked around trying to catch my breath, my heart was beating too fast, I could still feel that man's cold hand on my neck. Suddenly, I felt a hand on my shoulder.

I turned and punched something hard or, should I say, someone, "ALLY", Asher yelled.

Asher then turned the light on. I looked around the room. I was back in our room. Asher did not look happy, "sorry, I had a bad dream,"

In these past two weeks, I have met so many people, I am slowly learning everyone's names and roll's in the pack.

I have also explored a bit.

The little town here is amazing. Summer, Layla and I go to the little cafe a lot. The owner is so lovely. She is an older lady named Rose.

She makes the best pancakes I've ever had. Rose has children that are a few years older than me. One of them is a doctor and he helped put Asher's nose back in place to help it heal in the right spot.

What was his name again? Oh, that's right, it was Mark.

Mark picked on Asher for the broken nose. It was quite funny watching them. They have obviously grown up together.

I have noticed over the past 2 weeks that Asher knows everyone by their name. He also seemed to know them well. I was still having trouble remembering everyone's names.

Summer and I have spent most of the day in the garden. There is a lovely cool breeze. Summer was telling me all about her childhood.

She told me about how she was never the best in school but she did well in fight training. Summer used to kick Asher's butt when he was little.

That made me giggle, but I was not surprised as Summer's aura always radiates strength and power. She even offered to train me if I wanted to. I did think about it, but I do not think I would be any good.

I enjoyed Summer's company and the stories of her childhood were so interesting, and I enjoyed the ones that Asher was in the most.

We sat under the tree just relaxing for a few minutes. I began to feel uneasy.

I looked over to Summer and she back to me, "Ally, we need to go to the safe room" Summer said with a very serious tone. I got to my feet as fast as I could, "what's wrong?" I asked as we made our way to the house.

"We are being attacked again" she replied while pulling my arm. making me move faster. Summer and I were running when I tripped over my own feet, "sorry" I said while getting back on my feet.

Summer dropped to the ground, pulling me back down. Summer put her finger to her mouth telling me to shh.

We were now hiding behind a bush. Two men I had never seen before were walking past us, they had some blood on their hands, their auras were scaring the s**t out of me.

I began to shake, Summer put her hand on mine trying to calm me down, the men in front of us were sniffing around like they were looking for something of someone.

I looked at summer as she pulled a knife out of her boots. My eyes widened. Was she going to fight then? I covered my mouth with my hand, trying to stay quiet.

The men were getting closer and closer. With every step, my heartbeat got faster and harder, but Summer. She was calm and ready to make her move, her aura was deadly.

Once, they were close enough. She cut back's of their ankles. They both screamed one after the other and fell to the ground.

I stared at them on the ground in pain as Summer grabbed my arm and dragged me to my feet, making me run to the house. While running to the house, we hear a man yelling "they are headed to the house".

Summer was making me run so faster, I felt like I was going to fall on my arse. " We need to run faster," Summer shouted at me.

"I can't" I shouted back. By this point, I was so out of breath, "THERE, I SEE THEM" a man yelled behind us.

I tried to push myself harder to keep moving, trying my best to go faster. We made it to the stairs and made our way down them as fast as we could. When we reached the last step, I heard a loud growl, but Summer did not stop.

She kept pulling me, leading me to the safe room, screams were echoing down the hall, Summer pulled me into the saferoom and locked the door.

We stood there staring at each other for a while breathing heavily, "that, that, growl, was Asher, right?" I finally asked, to which Summer just nodded her head in reply.

We waited in the Saferoom for an hour before Asher's mind linked Summer. It was safe. As we made our way upstairs, I noticed there were no bodies but there was blood all over the floor and walls.

It made me shiver. I just hope Asher is OK. Once we reached the top of the stairs, I saw him. I ran over to him and looked him over before hugging him. Thank god he was safe and unharmed.
