It was a simple request—or that's what Nini, my best friend, told me when she dragged me to a housewarming party downtown.
I had decided not to go, to stay indoors and binge-watch the full season of "Game of Thrones." It was a simple, perfect plan.
The next minute, I was standing in front of my bedroom's full-length mirror, trying to figure out if my dress was appropriate for a housewarming.
