I had been waiting for news all day to know what had happened to Lord Salmon. I hoped that the plan would go according as planned but I was to be proved wrong because nothing went as planned. Instead, I received a letter from Audrey informing me that Lord Salmon had died in a robbery on the night he had been sent to Ghysem.
The letter threw me into a rage of fury.
Now there was no way we could snatch the bridge contract from Theophilus. That was not completely through however, we could still kidnap Theophilus and render him unable to do the work, or better still we could incapacitate him. We could make him lose function in his legs in a terrible accident or lose his sight.
