My heart rate accelerated when we were about to arrive. I don’t know why was I felt so nervous when I spent many years in this house. Is it because there will be no one in that house anymore? Or is it because Delilah’s memories would be in every single corner of this house? My eyes stung with unshed tears but I didn’t dare to shed even a single tear in front of them. I don’t know how to control my tears for long but at least, I can try to hold them as long as I can. I was feeling like someone was stopping the supply of my oxygen.
“Ray! Are you okay?” Caspian asked while squeezing my hand in his strong hands in an assuring manner. I wanted to nod in yes but It was feeling too difficult for me at that moment.
