Chapter 2 - Alone

Jason prepares to leave for the Cedar Falls Second chances Drug Regab center, tucked away neatly in the mountains of another State, but first he arranges to meet Tessa with her hesitant and dissatisfied parents...

Tessa: "Dad, Mom,I still love him. Please give him one more chance, for my sake please!"

Dad: "Tessa, you know how wrong he has been for you. He needs to change his ways.!"

Jason: "I will. I'm starting a three-month rehab program. "

Tessa: "I know, but I don't want you to go."

Jason: "I'll get better Mr. And Mrs. Redkin, I promise. I love your daughter with all my heart and deeply regret having treated her so badly in the past, I want to recover,heal and be a better man for myself and for her. She deserves only the best."

Tessa's Dad: "Jason, it would be best if you went. It's the only way to ensure that this time you're serious about getting clean."

Jason's Mom: "Yes, we should support him in this venture."

Jason's Dad: "We can only agree if you're willing to accept certain conditions. You must stay clean and you must attend ongoing counseling once you've completed the program."

Jason: "Absolutely, I'm ready and willing to do whatever it takes to get better."

Tessa's Dad: "Okay, I'll go along with your plan."

Tessa's Mom: "I will if you do. Okay Jason, now hear me clearly! We love you and want what's best for both you and Todd's, this is your opportunity to come back clean, sober and level-headed. Go well and stay strong,don't mess up!

Tessa was having a hard time dealing with Jason going away to rehab. He had been battling addiction for years and finally decided to enter a treatment facility to help him get better. She felt intense guilt that she wasn’t able to help him, and it was difficult for her to accept that he needed help she couldn’t provide on her own.

In order to cope with her emotions she threw herself into her work, taking late nights at the office and leaving her little time for socializing. She thought that if she could just keep herself busy she wouldn’t have to worry about Jason, allowing her to preserve some semblance of normalcy in her life. She wanted to make the best of her time while Jason was away, so she made sure to still spend time with family and friends, even if it wasn’t as often as it had been. One day, her best friend Natalie reached out to her to see if she wanted to do a girls

Night out. There was an amazing Italian restaurant around the corner from the Offies where Tessa worked and Natalie suggested they have supper there and the go clubbing at the La Dolce Vita Upmarket Venue and dance the night away. She would bring Tessa a change if clothes and they would head straight there after supper.

The rest of the week was quite busy, Thursday night Tessa ate supper at her Parents home and then Friday she stayed in, eating Chinese take aways and watching Netflix movies. Friday night eventually came and after a delicious supper of Lasagne, followed by Italian kisses for desert, a quick change of clothes into something sexy,yet elegant, and they drove off to the LA Dolce Vita Club in the swanky upmarket side .
