Jade hadn’t come back after Simon left.
I didn’t blame her.
That moment between them? It was something she wasn’t ready to face.
And me?
I had my own storm brewing.
Because as much as I wanted to focus on Jade and Simon's very obvious problem, I had something else lingering at the back of my mind.
I had made a choice.
To stop running.
To face whatever truth was waiting for me.
And right now, that meant finding proof.
Jade eventually came back, mood unreadable. Simon wasn’t with her.
