I kissed her like I’d never be able to again.
Like this was the only moment that mattered.
Like I could finally stop pretending she wasn’t everything I f*****g wanted.
Brielle kissed me back just as desperately.
Her hands tangled in my hair.
Her nails raked over my skin.
She was fire and silk, sharp edges and soft gasps.
She was everything I had been fighting,and everything I was done resisting.
I backed her toward the bed.
She followed.
No hesitation.
No second-guessing.
Just us.
Finally.
Clothes hit the floor.
Breaths turned ragged.
And as I pulled her beneath me
She whispered my name like it was the only thing keeping her grounded.
And that?
That ruined me.
Because for the first time, I let myself belong to someone.
