Why was it always that way? She hardly gave me the opportunity to say anything before running out. I was just shocked and..... confused. Springing up such a news on me just after I slipped back to consciousness could be quite a lot to deal with. I was still in my thoughts when the door flung open to reveal Carter. I had thought he would charge at me with so much anger but on the contrary, he gently walked to my bed.
"I'm sure you thought I would burst in here and give you a punch?" He muttered.
"Well, judging from our last meeting, yes."
