CARTER'S POV. I watched her as she held her breathe, before finally letting it out after a while. "Martins Montana, you say?" She asked Sanders, and I couldn't help but think of how she knew my business partner. "Oh Sanders! You don't know how relieved I feel to know that it isn't any member of my family." She let out a strangled cry of relief. I just kept silent and listened through her conversation, still on my knees. She had made me this way and I deserved every humiliation I got now. I was so bitter that I hadn't seen it. I hadn't realized that Mila wouldn't leave me on her own accord. I was so quick to latch on to any discrediting information I got, just so I would prove her wrong. If only I had actually gone ahead to have that discussion with her, we would have cleared our issue
