I woke up and felt the weight on my body, so I bent my neck to see a sleeping Mila on me. It had been a long while I had slept with so much peace in my heart. Mila had no idea what she had done for me the previous night. I had to go to bed every single night, scared of whenever my father was going to tell me I wasn't good enough to inherit his empire. An empire I had worked so hard to push from average to one of the bests within the last 4 years. Last night was the first time I slept with a different thought on my mind. The thought that i wasn't going to hang around for the inheritance of a man who had never loved me as a father should.
