_Mira's POV_ The door opened again and Aaron walked in. He carried another tray of food. The scent of roasted meat and warm bread made my stomach twist in hunger. I hadn’t eaten in what felt like days, and the ache in my belly was unbearable. Aaron placed the tray on the same rickety table as before. “Changed your mind about eating?” he asked, smirking. His voice was mocking, but I was too tired to argue. I stared at the food. My hands trembled as I reached for the plate. I hated myself for giving in, but I needed strength.
