Mina I could only describe this as an out-of-body experience because I was aware but unable to break the kiss or move. He’s cursed me! He’s a warlock of some sort a beautiful annoying ass warlock. My body felt heavy as the bright light continued to grow behind my eyelids. I was suddenly pulled into another world, panic filled my body and raced through my mind. “No! No running down the hill Jace!”, I called after my 3-year-old son who continued to do the exact thing I just said not to do. He’s the cutest little boy I’d ever laid eyes on of course that statement is biased because he’s mine. My 6-month-old Ava smiled up at me from my lap making her adorable baby sounds. She was getting so big and would soon join her brother running around wild. I looked up as Rome ran after Jace pretending to be a dinosaur and brought him back up the hill. Fatherhood fit him so well he was the most caring father and showered our children with his love daily. I fell in love with him all over again after having Jace. “Mama doesn’t want you to get hurt let’s sit for a while and have a snack”. Rome said approaching our picnic blanket. He sat Jace in the middle and poured an ungodly amount of Cheetos into his hands which caused Ava to begin reaching for some as well. “Just one,” I said raising a brow at Rome. “Well you're no fun at all” he mumbled while taking Ava from me. Her eyes lit up as she pulled on his hair while leaving slobbery kisses on his cheek. “Wow, I wish Mommy kissed me like that,” he said winking at me. The effect he had on me only grew stronger over the years I was ready to make another baby all over again. My husband looked the same as the day I met him but that was obviously because he- My mind was cloudy as I was ripped from the family I never imagined having. My eyes struggled to open and then everything went black. Rome “She’s been out for almost two hours Jared!” My heart was going to burst out of my chest if I didn’t get some f*****g answers soon. I didn’t have time for this. We had no time at all I knew what was coming. “Can you explain what exactly happened?” Jared asked too calmly for my liking. I removed the phone from my ear and contemplated breaking it into pieces. My eyes drifted to my mate unconscious across the bed and my fangs dropped. “I kissed her and shared a vision and then she passed out!” I was unable to be as calm as my fellow brother. I knew this place all too well I knew they were plotting and waiting for the right time. “Hmm. Perhaps she’s in shock. She will wake soon brother.” I couldn’t stop myself from pacing. “And if she doesn’t!” My temper was rising with each passing second. “If she doesn’t you’ll have to take her in the state she’s in, unfortunately. You’re running out of time I suspect they’ll move in on you during the night. Has anyone bothered to come to check on the both of you?” I could hear the rain falling outside and it did little to calm me as it normally would. “No, and I can only assume it was ordered that I be left alone. We have to leave soon.” I was irritated about being back in this house again and now it was going to be hard to leave with my mate especially if she continued to stay unconscious. “Have you tried waking her?”,Jared was pissing me off with these questions. Of course, I tried waking her! “Yes! What do you think I’ve been doing over here!”.The beating of her heart was stable and she showed no signs of waking no twitching no movement whatsoever. “I’ll call around and be in touch sit tight”. I was left with my thoughts again as I stood over my mate. Mina. The woman I’ve dreamt about since I was fifteen. She penetrated my brain one night and never left. She was the image I clung to when I endured intense experiments from the made up military these people convinced themselves I was in. She was the only oxygen in my suffocating world and she didn’t know me at all. I was so selfish that I couldn’t live without her not knowing me. I just had to kiss her to feel her. What have I done? I sat down beside her and pulled the blanket up to her chin. My hand caressed her face and hovered over her soft lips. So plump and more enticing than I ever imagined. She was everything more than I imagined. My eyes found the vein in her neck and insane thoughts worked their way into my head. Not now i***t. “Don’t be that guy” I said to myself as I closed my eyes. I paced back towards the bedroom door battling my inner thoughts and when I turned around she was gone. Little sneaky ninja! She didn’t make a sound! My immortal ears didn’t even pick up anything. I made my way to the bathroom in long strides just fast enough to see her door closing with a click. I took a deep breath and knocked on the door. “Mina. Listen I’m sorry really I am.” I was met with silence. “I can explain.” More silence. I eyed the doorknob and quickly went to work on the lock. “I know this is all bizarre to you”. The door clicked and all I had to do was turn the knob. “I won’t hurt you just let me explain”. I pushed the door open and was met with a chair to the face which I should have seen coming. Damn it. Mina stood with her back straight after realizing the chair did no damage. Her heartbeat was slightly accelerated. She was fuming. Which was sexy on her. “Who the hell are you?” Her voice was even more sexier. I took in her brown sun-kissed face and was tempted to kiss her again. “My name is Rome-“. “I know that!” She hissed impatiently. Never have I ever been rendered speechless but here I am. Speechless. I will admit this is a poor approach. “Well yes. I uh I’m honestly not sure how to explain this but I’ve been dreaming of you for ten years”. This sounded crazy even to me. She raised her brow the way I knew she would. She always did in my dreams, but this wasn’t a dream. “Is this a joke? I’ve never seen you a day in my life not even a picture around this mansion how do you know me and what did you do to me in there!”, she yelled angrily pointing a finger in my face. It was really hard for me to focus because I was so turned on. “Right. I don’t know how to explain it but you belong to me you are mine.” I tried to keep the growl from my voice when declaring this but failed. Many emotions displayed across her face I chose to focus on the small glimpse of longing and took a step forward. “You stay away from me!” For every step I took forward, she took one back and we circled the room. “Listen we don’t have much time. They will have alerted some people who prefer I stayed dead by now”. “What does that mean? Leave me alone!” She was unknowingly trapping herself against a wall. “Never. I mean” I shook my head to try to clear it. No, it was best to build this relationship on honesty. “Yeah never”.
