Mille POV
I heard him walk in. I know his smell and have a pretty good idea what he is here for. To kill me.
Millie:
Star what do we do? If he knows then he will kill us to protect his son.
Star:
Don’t worry Mina I can already feel the curse has weakened. If we need to we can at least escape and run.
Star’s words reassured me. The last time when I could not fight back she cried and mourned with me my loss. She was there through it all but now is not the time to open that door. I hear him talk, feel the hand around my neck but I don’t feel afraid. I feel like I could laugh at him.
Maybe I have finally lost my mind but he doesn’t scare me. Then he said he would hurt my family and I show him fear. I guess it was what he wanted. It is so strange how strong I feel. I almost died but I feel like I am about to finally start living.
The next day the nurse released Millie to go home and rest. Elizabeth took the day off and took her daughter home.
Elizabeth:
Sweetheart tonight is the party, will you go?

Millie:
Mom, I would not miss it for the world.
Millie POV
I smile at my mom. Tonight my whole life will change and Mom, Jim and I look at each other with different emotions.
Millie:
I need a dress.
I break the tension with my thoughts. Mom starts getting material and sewing. A little time passes and a beautiful emerald green dress hangs waiting for tonight.
Collins POV
Dad came to me and told me it is all taken care of with the mute mutt but the anxiety I feel won’t go away. I force myself to focus and try once more to talk to Blaze.
Collin:
Hey man tonight we may find our mate.
Blaze whines in my mind.
Collin:
Dude what is wrong with you, do you know something?
Wolves sometimes know their mate before the human side does and they connect. It is strange how Blaze is acting.
Collin: Come on man tell me. Do you?
He was always so excited to finally meet our mate but since I stabbed Millie he hasn’t spoken much to me.
Collin:
Surely today of all days you would be happy Blaze.
Blaze:
I know her... yes.
My heart leaps for joy. That means for sure she is a part of my pack.
Collin:
Please tell me something. One thing... anything about her! Blaze is silent for a few moments. I am so confused that all I feel from him is sadness. Finally he speaks.
Blaze:
She is perfect. Beautiful and ....
Collin:
And what?
I am so excited he is talking to me again and my mate! My body shakes with anticipation. And what? Nothing.I can feel as he leaves to the darkness in my mind once more. You know what forget him I am exited. I know she will be beautiful and strong. She will be perfect.
My mate, my Luna. The one made especially for me. I think about all the she-wolves I have had in my bed and wonder if any of them are the one. I really hope not. I hope my mate waited for me. I know completely hypocritical because I am no virgin but I truly hope she is. I will accept her either way but what a wonderful gift that would be. Excited I walk around looking at the decorations and saying hi to fellow pack members.
The grand hall is covered in black and golden balloons, ribbons and bows. Every table perfect with center pieces of purple orchids. Music plays as my omegas cook a fantastic meal of all my favorites. My heart fills with joy and pride as a young wolf offers me a drink.
Omega:
Alpha Collins would you like a drink?
The young girls speaks her head bowed.
Collin:
I would like a glass of honey wine.
She turns to walk away but I stop her.
Collin:
Hey what is your name and rank?
She blushes:
Lilly Sir, I am an omega.
I smile at her, sweet and innocent little thing. I would not even mind an omega mate. She would submit easily and obey my every word. Hell I would love it to have a mate that is like that. She would just be happy to be mine and would gladly do everything I say.
Collin:
See you tonight Lilly.
I chuckle to myself as she blushes and runs off towards the kitchen. I sigh with happiness. Nothing can ruin this day.
