Adrian Nightshade The echoing footsteps of the guard faded into the dark, leaving me alone in the cold, unforgiving silence of the cell. I shouted, my voice a crescendo of rage and desperation that seemed to bounce off the damp walls. "Let me out! Stella is in danger!" But my pleas fell on deaf ears, dismissed as nothing more than the desperate cries of a vampire confined to solitary. I couldn't entirely fault the guard for his decision.
