*The day of the full moon*
With my superior eyesight, I could see the hunters fumbling around in the forest. They hadn’t noticed me yet, but they had flashlights with them. I was sure that they would find me soon enough. I had to act quickly and take a decision before they could find me.
I tried to think of the best strategy to come out of this alive. Maybe I could have snuck out before they found me, but it would be against my very nature to do that. And I couldn’t bring myself to let the hunters go free only for them to find and kill the wolves of the local pack. I had to fight them and I had to win…
I knew that if I tried to change into my human form, I would be at a disadvantage. I would be vulnerable during the change and if they found me before I shifted completely,
