Commander, stop staring at me!

Chapter 3: Awake

Tiara didn’t know how long she has been asleep, but she knew it’s been a long time. So, when the sudden burst of light hit her eyes, although she’s already awake, she still let her eyes close to adjust to her surroundings. When she finally opened her eyes, she was so confused because all she can see are leaves, scattered lights, branches and the blue sky above, very different from the white ceiling she’s been used to see since she was a baby. She tried to sit and to her surprise she was able to do so without exerting to much effort then, she hovered her eyes until they set to a man that has a set of red eyes and hair as vibrant as the sun.

Their eyes met and locked into each other’s as if trying to read each other’s mind.

“…connection completed”

“Rara, this is third brother, Gavin, can you still remember me? How are you? have you been well? Don’t worry, I’m almost done locating your area just try to click the blue button on your left and stay inside your… second brother what are you doing?!”

The eyes who were almost glued with each other were suddenly interrupted by a holographic screen that appeared in the middle of the medical cabin.

“Rara, where is the person who opened your cabin?” George can no longer contain his annoyance with his little brother. His brother was the one who created that medical cabin, how can he forget that in order for it to be opened and send red light to them instead of green light, someone had opened it from the outside and overwritten the existing genetic codes. If it was green light, it means that it was opened inside or someone among their family opened it.

Although George is very happy that he can now see his sister, his worries won’t go away unless he can hug his sister again and now, he hopes that the person who found her is not someone with bad intentions.

He saw his cute sister turn her head to the left then suddenly, a person he never imagined to be in the same frame with his sister appeared on the screen

“You?! why should it be you?!” George said in gritted teeth

“Why can’t it be me Blackie no.2?” the man said

“You!-“

“Second brother, chill, he is with Rara, calm down first let me do this” Gavin pushed his fuming brother aside

“Your highness, the girl you are with right now is the only princess of our family. Our father and eldest brother are on their way to where you are located. So, can you please take in our princess first until they arrived? It would only take two-no just one day until they arrive on your location” Gavin asked humbly, he is a Flecker, pride was long etched to his bones but for his only sister he can break the bones where the pride was etched.

“Don’t ask him that way” George can now think clearly so he pushed his brother away, he won’t let his brother or their family owe anything to this guy “Prince Theodore Paxley I, George, a knight of the house of Flecker, asks you to take care of my sister for a day, in return, I will give you my knight’s oath”

Gavin’s eyes turned round when he heard what his brother said. He can’t understand if his brother likes or hates this guy that much that he would willingly give his oath as a knight.

“Are you sure?” Theodore asked

“I am, when we meet, we can do the pact” George said seriously

“Well then, I Theodore Paxley, accepts your request” after saying that, Theodore turned off the communication then turned his attention to the girl who never uttered a word from start to the end of the conversation.

“Did you hear that? Your brothers entrusted you to me, so you should come with me first” Theodore said as he locked his eyes again to the girl’s face

The girl blinked her big black eyes twice then nodded

“Can you stand up?”

The girl just blinked her eyes again then looked at her feet. Theodore then turned his attention to the girl’s two cute feet that doesn’t have any shoes. Then he also noticed that the girl is just wearing a white long-sleeved nightgown with thin fabric. This girl is too thin, won’t she get cold while wearing just that?

He removed his commander’s jacket and immediately covered it on the girl’s shoulder then he buttoned it to make sure it won’t fall as it is too big for her. Then, without warning, he carried the girl in princess style making the girl’s doe like eyes even rounder.

“You don’t have shoes, and I don’t have shoes your size so, I will just carry you. hold on to my neck so you won’t fall”

The girl followed what he said and wrapped her arms on his neck. Theodore now realized how thin this girl is. If he doesn’t feel her soft body clinging to his, he would think he is not holding anything. Aside from that, he feels that some of his unruly spiritual power becomes gentler and is now being absorbed bit by bit.

Tiara felt extremely ashamed and helpless as she is being carried by a man she barely knew, and aside from that, she doesn’t know why her body feels like she’s taking some sort of energy from the man helping her! What should she do? She hasn’t experienced this with her two lives combined! She wanted to explain her self but her voice just doesn’t want to come out. So, she just looked at the man helplessly hoping that he would understand that she doesn’t mean to get his energy.

The man just smiled at her “It’s fine if you can take that, they are unruly anyway, if you don’t do that, I would need to fight to a lot of beasts in order to release it” hearing what the man said, Tiara became curious and wanted to ask some questions, but realizing her situation right now… forget it, she’s not a nosy person, knowing less means lesser trouble. If he said it’s fine to absorb his energy, then it’s fine. Her family is going to pick her up so she will just ask them to make it up to this man.

The man summoned his mecha, Tiara was amazed to see a gold mecha. She thought that all mecha are black since all the mecha that she saw in their house are black.

Suddenly she felt a strong force that made her eyes close and when she opened her eyes, she saw that they are already on the shoulder of the mecha. Tiara felt dizzy when she looked down, did the man jumped? No, it couldn’t be a jump! She thinks the man flew up since the distance of the ground to the mecha’s shoulder is more or less 10 meters!

The man touched the face of the mecha to open it. Once they were inside, the man just stood up like he doesn’t want her to go near the co-pilot’s seat. Is he one of those people with mysophobia? Is he afraid that she will get his seat dirty?

“don’t think too much” she heard the guy said then he put her to sit on the co-pilot’s seat, then he made sure that her seat belt buckled properly before sitting.

Theodore can’t help but think that he can also be stupid sometimes. Why didn’t he think to just walk out of this forest first before summoning his mecha? He could carry the girl longer if he did that, but if he really did that, it would delay the girl’s recovery so even though he is itching to stop Lexus 10 kilometers away from the legion’s space ship, he didn’t do so, anyway the Fleckers would take time to locate this place because even though there are two star civilizations near this planet, there are no space jump transmission near here, so it means they would need to travel here the ancient way, no shortcut, he can still be near the girl.

Tiara was at awe when she saw a very large spaceship, this is no longer a spaceship, this is a mobile city! Tiara was both nervous and excited but because she’s been sick for her two lives, she was able to calm her emotions.

When the mecha landed, all the captains and Theodore’s adjutant were already waiting for their commander’s return. To their surprise, they saw their commander carrying something or someone that looks too precious as the commander didn’t even stop to look at them.

“Have you seen that?” Wyatt asked when he recovered from the shock

“Don’t worry, you are not hallucinating, I also saw that” Answered Noah

“What was that? Why did the commander held it like he doesn’t want it to break?” Luke asked, then all of the captains looked at the commander’s adjutant

“Why are you all looking at me? I don’t know” Kai said while raising his two hands

“You are his adjutant, you need to ask him how was his stroll, did he have fun?” -Noah

“Ask him if he needs anything to be prepared”-Wyatt

“And most importantly, ask him who was he carrying!” Luke

All three captains’ eyes look like they are going to spit fire any moment, it’s not that they are gossipers, they are just too loyal to their commander that they wanted to know trivial details about him, right, they are not gossipers.
