Chapter 6: Going home

“Commander!”

“Let’s go to the nearest star civilization to stock up supplies then go back to the main star” Arthur ordered when they arrived to the first legion warship

The soldiers left to follow his orders while his adjutant, Selene, stayed.

“Commander, is the young lady here Lady Flecker?” Selene asked

“Yes”

Before Selene can formally introduce herself to Tiara, the commander pulled his sister and walk away

“Urgh, this i***t commander will never get married!” Selene swore, she still can’t believe until now why she accepted the task of being that cold faced commander’s adjutant. Why didn’t she choose to just stay in their planet and farm? Isn’t farming more fragrant than staying with that gourd who can only say yes, no, and what do you think? Up to now she believes that she’s the one who commands this legion instead of that ice block!

Hopefully his sister is not like him. Come to think of it, their family doesn’t have a common attitude and one gets weirder than the other. Luckily, they were on the opposite side of the universe that time or else she will be the one to deal with the aftermath of her commander’s impulsiveness.

Well, seeing the young lady walking now maybe what happened that day was also a blessing in disguise. She’ll forgive the commander for being rude this time, next time he does that again, huh, her 100 pages resignation with the reasons why she’s leaving is always ready to be sent.

“Rara, this is your room in the First Legion warship. I’ve prepared this for you. Your genetic code is already recorded on the door so it would automatically open for you”

The room where that Arthur prepared for Tiara made her eyes burn. Tiara removed her old lightbrain and replaced it with the new one. The lightbrain automatically adjusted according to her wrist size. “I won’t say thank you, I will just make something for you” Tiara smiled to her brother

“I will wait for what you are going to give” Arthur smiled as he rubbed his sister’s hair. “Although the lightbrain address of mom is there, don’t call her yet. Dad said we will surprise her for her birthday. Don’t call dad too, since he doesn’t want you to call mom, he should also be treated the same. Who made them husband and wife? If you want to study in a university, I will help you prepare if you don’t, the family will pretend that you are still sick and can’t go to study” when it comes to spoiling the only daughter of their family, Arthur is sure that their family seal of loyalty will just be a decoration as they can bend and stretch the imperial law mandate just to make sure that it would give way to their Rara.

“Huh? No need to pretend I am sick, eldest brother, I’ve been lying on the bed almost all my life and besides, I also want to contribute to our family”

“Rara, no need to contribute, you can just sit in our house, be pretty and enjoy things. You have brothers that are willing to make the contribution for you-”

“Eldest brother! Education is compulsory in the interstellar era. Even the children in the jail star needs to study as the empire believes that only by being educated can their people best defend themselves. So, if she will not go, her family is directly opposing the empire’s wish, that would be a big setback for a crown loyalist family.

“Okay, okay, don’t get mad, I’m just giving you an option. You still have three months to prepare for the university selection. I think that’s enough time. I will prepare a holographic room for you in the star net so you can start supplementing the basic education needed. For the next ten days, Arthur supervised Tiara’s studies and to his surprise, his sister exceeded the expectations needed to pass the basic education. At this rate, Tiara can directly go to advanced education but since basic, intermediate and advanced education certificates are needed for university, Arthur is planning to make Tiara take all three exams on the same day. It’s not that he is bragging, it’s just that his sister’s learning talent is not humble at all!

Finally, after ten days, the first legion’s warship landed on a satellite planet near the capital planet. From there, the siblings boarded Arthur’s private spaceship.

Tiara kept on looking outside the window until she saw the familiar black buildings. She really wanted to open the door when she saw four people standing on the empty area in the middle of the tall black buildings.

“Your eldest brother just arrived, why do we all need to welcome him? Previously you can’t wait for him to leave, now all of you are clamoring to see him, did he owe you?” Madam Ayessa asked her children whose necks are about to break from looking at the sky

“Mom, we still don’t want to see him, he just brought something very important with him” George said, who wants to see that ice block? If not for his sister, he would be running away by now after hearing that the ice block appeared to save his body from going to medical cabin.

The whole family stared at the ship as it landed. When the door of the ship opened a very fast thing jumped out of it.

“Mom, I’m home” Tiara said as she clings on her mom’s neck.

“You-, Rara? Are you my Rara?” Ayessa’s hands were shaking as she lifted the face of the person who is hugging her

“Yes mom, it’s me, Rara” “Oh my dear daughter, I knew it, I knew you will come back home” Ayessa started crying, forgetting the image of an sss that she so carefully established, as she tightly embraced her youngest child. The surrounding men also have red eyes, but because their tear gland is not as profound as that of a human, there are no tears.

“Wife, stop crying, you’re making my heart ache. Are you not happy that our princess came back to us healthy?” Gerard said, trying to calm his wife and as if a cue, Ayessa stopped bawling, then she started coldly at her husband and sons

“Yes mother, it was eldest brother” Gavin/George, their eldest brother was the first one to betray them by hiding their sister’s condition to them, this is just fair.

“Mom, I feel tired” Tiara said and like a magic word, Ayessa forgot that she’s still mad “Okay baby, let’s get inside, let’s not talk to your imbecile brothers and father. Even though I don’t know when you are coming back, your room is always ready here for you…” The mother and daughter duo were almost embracing each other as they walk farther and farther away “My wife, daughter, wait for me” Gerard shouted without minding his image

“My dear brothers, I miss you both. Come, let’s talk in the gravity room”

“Second brother, eldest brother, I still need to check the instruments for Rara’s medical condition, so I will leave for now. Enjoy your talk” Gavin said as he ran as fast as he could

“Artie, my twin brother, let’s talk this out—” George nervously looked at his brother but before he could deescalate the situation, he already felt his body flying towards the unknown
