Chapter 10: Aptitude Levels

The Flecker family is in the reception of the Aptitude Center. Because they wanted to avoid the limelight, they chose to use their house's military ranking that's why they went straight to the reception instead of lining outside. The benefit of the rich, Tiara thought.
Because this is an aptitude test where it's impossible to cheat as all the movements and energy are recorded, her family can join her inside the room.
The first test is the physical test. She was sent to another starnet cabin but just by visual inspection, she knew that it has a different build compared to the ones in the educational institution.
When she was born, she was tested as S physical level, but because it was just an initial test, it is not that accurate. Now she will know her true level.
According to the instructions, she just needs to kill all the bugs that she will see in the allotted time.
She was brought to a damp forest when she entered the starnet cabin. The guide said that she can think of any cold weapon that she can use to finish her task. What's the best weapon to use to kill insects? She can't use insecticides as it is not considered a cold weapon, yeah that's right! She can use that!
"Husband, do you think Rara is scared? Can't they think of a lovelier place? Why did they put her to a nasty jungle?" Ayessa asked her husband, they are now watching the broadcast of Tiara's physical test
"This is already the best place they can put her my wife. You see, if it's a normal one, they will tasked her to kill zergs or star beasts"
"What is that weapon Rara is holding?" Gavin curiously asked when he saw that a blue weapon with rectangular end and a stick body appeared in Tiara's hand
"Is it because Rara is nervous so she can't make a sword properly?" George asked
"I don't think Rara is nervous, she has her own idea that's why she chose that" Arthur answered with full confidence in Tiara's judgement. His family might have some doubts with Tiara's talent, but he as someone who saw Tiara's clever thinking will not doubt her.
When the timer started, the eyes of the family widened in amazement as they saw their princess kill several insects in one hit. Maybe Tiara was just testing the weapon and when she saw that it was effective, another same weapon appeared in her left hand. The insect killing continued and if they don't have trained eyes, it will be difficult for them to follow Tiara's movements due to her extreme speed.
When the timer reached zero, their family's face turned to amazement, surprise, doubt and finally pride as they see their treasure living up to her surname.
If this test is sent to the blue star, the people think it is just an arcade game, but in fact, every individual will be given a unique test that will test their listening, strength and body coordination which becomes harder when you respond accordingly.
The timer also adjusts if it sees that the individual taking the test hasn't reach its full potential yet. Tiara's initial timer is supposedly 5 minutes, but looking at the information in front of her, she stayed here for 1 hour and 30 minutes
After a minute of calculation, the results came out.

So, from S to 2S, what a big lift. The results will not flash on the broadcast screen so her family doesn't know the results yet. But for a military family, it's not hard to deduce the result.
When she went out of the cabin, her mother quickly hugged her "Oh my perfect lovely daughter, I know you will not fall far from me"
"Wife, careful, you might squeeze our daughter too much"
"Mom, let's make Rara rest for a while before going to the mental test" Arthur reminded his mother
"Oh, yes, yes, that's right" she then held her daughter out and sat on the couch
"Rara, what do you call the weapon that you used to kill those insects? I thought it looked weak but it's actually effective against those insects" Gavin couldn't stop his curiosity because he is thinking of adding that weapon to his new invention
"Oh, that one? According to a history book I read, it's called a swatter. It was used in the ancient star before to kill insects such as flies" Tiara didn't hide the origin of the swatter as she remembered that she encountered this word before.
"I see, so it's an ancient weapon" Gavin concluded
Tiara's mouth twitched when she heard her brother's conclusion, anyway, let him be, their ancestors are already dead so nobody can say that what her brother said is wrong.
Tiara just rested for 10 minutes before going to the next test. The mental aptitude level test. This test will measure how much spiritual energy she can keep within her and all she needs to do is stand and be scanned.
She is now standing in an elaborate scanner which reminds her of when Captain America was created. Dozens of lights flashed across her and after some time, it gradually stopped. Then a series of information appeared in front of her

3S?! How did it happen? Her mental energy when she was born was only E, now she jumped too much that even she became a little nervous.

Those are the words that flashed on all the screens around her. Based on her books, 3S mental power users are rare so if there is a new found 3S level, all the screens in the Paxley Galaxy will show a 10 second flash announcement to inform its people and to boost their morals. They are the sign of the strength of a galaxy.
She's now thinking if she can still agree with her father and brothers. She just wants a normal and simple life, but having a 3S mental power will force her to enter a military academy! George and Gavin are both 2S so they were not forced to study in the military unlike Arthur who was tested as 3S
She's a peace loving person, why would she throw herself to fight? Can she erase the data? Impossible, probably by now, even the emperor knows the existence of 100th 3S mental power user,or say the machine was faulty? Even more impossible as it is being use by the empire, all machines are maintain everyday to avoid wrong readings. Isn't it just killing Zergs and starbeasts? She can do that too... err, maybe?
When all the flash announcements stopped, she saw her family's faces which she really can't describe, can she use a swatter to kill any fly that would get inside their mouths?
"Why is the world so unfair? My daughter is so cute and lovely, why is she not given a choice to stay away from the military academy?" Ayessa couldn't help but to lament the outcome. If she knew that her daughter is already 3S, she would drag her down and stop her from going here! Why is her daughter too perfect? She hasn't treated her as a princess and yet she will need to join the military? This is unfair!
"My wife, don't cry, we will go to the emperor and let him not force Rara to join the military"
"And then what? Those politicians will say that you are trying to rebel by keeping a 3S mental power user away from the military?" Ayessa cried harder
If she knew that this would be the result, she would also not go here, she's already planned to go to an agricultural academy, but who would have thought that she won't have a choice, she really miscalculated this. But what to do? She can't run from it now, can she?

The three brothers have been silent since they found out that their only sister will be forced to enter the military and they can't do anything but to clench their fists. If Tiara didn't reach 3S, they can still bend the law but now, it's impossible.
"We can't do anything about this now, we can just train her so it would be easier for her once she entered the academy" Arthur finally said, although he wants to pamper his sister so she won't need to bother about any obstacles, he can't do it now. They need to train her so she won't be bullied inside the academy.
George and Gavin just sighed, their mom is right. They think life was unfair to their sister.
