Chapter 16: Dinner

"Stop it!" Tiara can't stand these men's mumbling

"Shitou is an elder, OK? He is living for millions of years already! How can you think of pairing me with him? And aside from that, he is now just a spirit and when we met he is in the form of a stone!" Tiara said in one breath, he doesn't despise Shitou, she considers that person her ancestor OK?!

After her explanation, her family breathed a sigh of relief, as long as the man that Rara will choose belongs in this civilization they will look at him a little pleasing to their eyes.

"Then, what was his gift to you dear?" Ayessa asked her daughter

Tiara smiled at her then she brought out a huge and medium pots. When she opened the huge pot a very fragrant smell wafted that made their tongues salivate involuntarily.

"well, he left me a farming space, together with the things he collected from his explorations, he also taught me a lot and one of his lessons for me was cooking" while saying this, Tiara is already scooping the chicken stew into several bowls, then she served her family with a bowl of stew and another bowl of rice.

Everyone wanted to devour the thing in front of them, but thinking that Rara is still in front of them, how can they act so barbaric? Endure... Endure

"this is one of the food I learned from him, you can try if it suits you" Tiara explained

Although most of the interstellar people just drink nutrient solutions, noble family like the Fleckers were still exposed to using utensils when having social gatherings but they do not find eating food as a good experience since it is too troublesome.

But looking at the dish in front of them, they don't think that it is troublesome. Aside from it was made by their princess, it is really too fragrant! So after Tiara said to try, they all didn't wait any second and scooped a spoonful of the soup.

No mistake, this is simply too delicious! They continued eating without talking to each other until...

"Gas! Who took the last piece!? I just turned for a moment and it's all gone!" Gavin screamed, he looked at his brothers and he saw that they also look upset then he looked at his parents and he saw that both of them are wiping their mouths

"We ate it, so what? You should be filial to your parents" Gerard scoffed. If he knew that the food that his daughter made was too delicious, he wouldn't allow this debt collectors to even sip a spoon of soup

Gavin almost choked after hearing the word filial, if being filial is a thing in their family this old man in front of him should be the last one to say it, who doesn't know how he went against his own father over big and petty things?!

The twins didn't bother to argue with their father. They knew how thick skinned their father is, so it's useless to argue. They just looked at their sister eagerly. Who would have knew that there is still pleasure in eating? If their sister didn't introduced it to them, would they die thinking that eating is just a troublesome task?

Tiara received her elder twin brothers burning gaze, we'll, she's happy that they seem to really like the food she cooked so she brought out the sugarcane juice that she prepared as well.

Seeing that Tiara brought out something again, the whole family excitedly took their share. The juice that Tiara prepared feels so refreshing!

"Did you like it?" Tiara asked

"Like!" everyone said in unison

"Good" Tiara smiled happily "I still have something here. These were left by master. According to him, these are called wine. Master said that you should drink it in moderation"

The whole family were curious about this so called wine. They took a small sip and what comes after is something interesting. They felt a warm current going down their throat and the after taste of this wine is a little sweet and bitter.

"Fine product! Daughter, do you have some more?" Gerard cheekily asked his daughter

"I still have a barrel here" then Tiara took the smallest jar of wine, it's not that she's stingy towards her dad, she just knew that sometimes, her dad has the self-control of a teenage kid. It's not good if he turns into a drunkard

Gerard's eyes lit up "you are really my cotton padded jacket! You know that dad would like this so you already prepared a barrel for me!" Gerard smugly said as he took the jar "Daughter, go to rest already, it has been a long day for you"

Then Gerard took his wife and daughter out of the dining room, leaving his three sons who were still engrossed with the wine. It was already too late when they noticed that their father already took their sister away! They should have drank the wine in big gulp instead of savoring it! Now, how can they still ask for another bottle?! Nevermind, they will still train their sister tomorrow, there's still a chance!

But the chance that the three were looking forward the next morning didn't came.

Their father took their sister and mother to a mission!

Tiara was pleasantly surprised when her parents brought her into the Marshall's warship after their dinner. This warship is twice the size of the two warships that she had seen before.

According to her parents, they will go to a wild planet to secure the area and also to make sure that after a year, it will become habitable. It will take them at least 5 days to reach their destination.

During those five days, her father and mother took turns to teach her. Her dad taught her basic survival and fighting skills while her mom taught her the basic control of mecha.

Tiara didn't know why her parents suddenly became proactive in teaching her. If she's correct, they were afraid to teach her because they thought that they might hurt her.

The truth is, Tiara's parents are still afraid that they might hurt her accidentally but reasons told them that they should stop being afraid after they saw her fighting prowess. Being afraid may just hinder their daughter's growth and someday she might blame them for not supporting her, which is the last thing that they want to see.

When they arrived in their destination, Tiara was a little bit terrified. The surroundings is not like what she used to see as everywhere looks so gloomy. The sky is covered with grey clouds, the ground is muddy with a dense forest around. The warship landed in the middle of the jungle. The camp that was station here cannot accommodate this behemoth ship.

When they landed, her father, scratch that, the marshal gave instructions to his subordinates on what to do. Then her mom, vice captain Flecker, brought her inside her mecha.

Although Tiara can now drive a mecha, she cannot do it openly as she doesn't have a license yet. License to drive a mecha is only given to military students and personnels. If in case a military student or personnel stopped being in the military, this license will be removed.

The marshal, together with some of his key personnels, went to the base camp the wild planet. Tiara is not a member of the Marshall's army so she can't get inside the conference room that's why Ayessa left her in the receiving area of the base camp for a while. The couple are planning to accompany their daughter later to visit and train in this planet that's why they didn't left her in the warship.

This was the first time for Tiara to be exposed with the members of the military soldiers. When she was in the 10th legion, the prince just let her stay inside the room after the doctors diagnosed her. When she was in the first legion, she was too busy studying that she doesn't have time to go out. During the five days that she was in her father's warship, she was basically in the training room, her room, or space to cook.

She looked at all the people going in and out of the receiving area then she noticed that they are also looking at her. Why does she feel like she's some sort of animal in the zoo the way these people look at her?

Her train of thoughts were interrupted when a deafening siren together with a flashing red light alarmed.

"WARNING PLANET XA0098, A STARBEAST WITH A POTENTIAL OF LEVEL S HAS BEEN DETECTED. TEAMS 1 TO 4, ASSEMBLE"
