Chapter 15: Cooking

After the training, Tiara's brothers just sent her to the medical cabin to be sure that she wouldn't feel any discomfort before giving her some pointers regarding her training. They also agreed that she would have her daily training for a week. After that, they will accompany her to train to a nearby wild planet.

After the matter was settled, Tiara became free so she didn't waste her time and started browsing the starnet for food.

Interstellar is not without food, it's just because of the long period of time and the planet's explorations made normal chewable food almost extinct.

She found out that there are still cooking broadcasts in the starnet, but to her disappointment, it was just a dark food broadcast.

The food in the broadcast can keep 90 percent of the taste, so when she tried tasting it, she almost vomited! And reading the comments on the barrage made her doubt if her taste buds are already broken after all the years that she hasn't tasted anything.

She stopped watching and just went straight to the star net, she needs to cleanse her tongue.

Tiara almost gave up searching for food when she realized that she might be searching the wrong way. She can't expect that rice is still called rice in this era, right? And other vegetables might not have the same name as she previously remembered.

She tried to search the most common term for these things in this era, plants.

After typing the word, millions of choices were found, she suddenly became so energetic and tried tasting all the plants in the choices.

She found out that rice and wheat were now called weeds and both of them has the size same as her thumb. She also found potatoes under the roots section which are as big as her printer in the blue planet.

She now understands the rule of categorizing the plants here. Since food is not that important here, the plants were categorized using the nutrients they can give. For example, the wheat and rice is under the carbohydrates together with the potatoes, she also found sugar cane that looks like an electric post, and corn as big as a toddler.

Using this rule, she went under the protein section of plants and there she found one of the most essential vegetables in her country, soybeans.

Soybeans can make a lot of things like tofu, bean curd, soy sauce, soy milk and many more.

She bought all the plants that she is familiar with. Even if she doesn't know how to process them, doesn't she have a library with a lot of of cooking books? She's sure she can find a way to process them!

She also bought some meat because she saw a beast that looks like an evolved form of pig under the protein section. She also saw big eggs, so she added those in her cart, of course if there are eggs, there should be a chicken! But the chicken here looks like a fat ostrich, never mind, they all have wings so this will do. She also ordered some utensils and a very cute table and chair set.

She just needed to wait for an hour to get all her orders, so she logged out of the starnet and went inside her space.

Tiara was so shocked to see that the plants that she planted this morning is now as tall as her calf. This only means that this space is for planting.

She then went inside her library to read books about cooking.

When she was still on the blue planet, she could cook homemade meals because the caretakers in the orphanage said that they wouldn't raise idlers. So, at a young age, she was already proficient at cutting vegetables and, as she grew older, the caretakers allowed her to cook with them.

When she left the orphanage, although she had the freedom to cook any food she liked, her heart didn't allow her to enjoy those food. So, even if she liked to cook, her enthusiasm was killed before she even started.

Tiara was so engrossed with reading that she almost forgot the time. She hurriedly went out of her space to check the time because her lightbrain was not working inside her space.

Just 5 minutes before the delivery time. She wanted to go out to receive her parcel, but before she could go down the stairs, the robot butler stopped her and gave her a small box.

"Lady, your parcel has arrived, so I took the liberty to accept it. I scanned if there was any dangerous thing inside things so I'm confident that this parcel is safe for you to open". The butler politely bowed before leaving.

"Thanks". She didn't know if the butler heard that. Anyway, here is her parcel! She went back to her room, then entered her space. She started to process the food that she had just acquired.

She started by fermenting her own soy sauce and vinegar. Although she read in one of the books that these things can be found inside her kitchen's cellar, they are still limited.

After processing, she put two big jars inside the cellar. This is the first time she has come here. She saw about 20 big jars of soy sauce an vinegar, and a lot of wine! That stone is probably a drunkard! She also saw some small empty bottles on one of the shelves, maybe Shitou also knew that it didn't look nice to bring a big jar of wine to drink outside.

After doing an inventory, she took out a small bottle of vinegar, soy sauce and 5 bottles of wine. She plans to give the wine to her family.

Speaking of her family, she is having a dilemma: if she should tell them about this space, will they think that she's a monster?

Even though she's thinking about this problem, she still started cooking her first meal in this era. She decided to cook chicken stew and rice, simple and delicious!

While cooking the rice, she started cleaning the chicken meat. It's a pity that the bones were not included in her order. Next time she will make sure that they will be included!

For the dessert, she decided to squeeze the huge sugar cane and put it in a medium-sized container.

Tiara was busy for a long time. When she was done, she estimated that it was almost 7 pm outside, so she soaked a little in her spring before tidying up everything.

When she went out of her space, she confirmed that it was really 7 pm already. She then sent a message to her family if they could all meet in the dining room.

She's decided to tell her family about her space, she will just blur out some details.

She didn't wait long until all her family members came rushing towards the dining room.

Everyone was curious why Rara called them here. Anyway, even if it's just a trivial matter, they will still come here.

"Ahm, I called you all here to explain about something that happened to me during the last five years" Tiara said when she saw that everyone was already seated.

Her family became solemn after hearing her talk about that five years. Those years would probably be their greatest wound as they failed to protect their family's precious treasure.

Seeing her family so quiet, she didn't know if she needed to continue or stop, but she bit the bullet and continued. She didn't know if there would still be a time when she could find the courage to confess this.

"During those years, I was lucky enough to activate a magic circle created by a person from higher civilization who is cultivating to go back to his place. He was kind enough to bring me to a lower civilization in the past where I learned a lot of things. He also helped me with treating my body's abnormalities. Although his cultivation is enough to go back, he still stayed until he was sure that I was going back to my family."

Her family had wide eyes after hearing this. Now they understand how suddenly a person with E mental power turned 3S! They don't doubt that Tiara met a person from higher civilization because they knew that there are more powerful people outside the sphere of their galaxy.

"Before leaving, he still gave me a gift"

The men in her family suddenly became sober after hearing the pronoun 'he' and the word 'gift' together. Wasn't it a pig who wanted to get their cabbage? And to think that 'he' belongs to a higher civilization! How can this be acceptable?!

Shitou: tsk... Thinking too much.

"Rara, whatever he promised you, don't believe it, he is just someone who wants to take advantage of you because you are still ignorant!" George said.

"That's right Rara, some men just want to show they are mighty, but they are actually fickle, especially a person with too much power!" Arthur said. He is not sure whether he is talking about Shitou or another person

"Rara, higher civilization is not that nice! There are a few discoveries in that place as they almost knew everything already, not fun!" Gavin is really worried that this sister will fly away someday

"Rara, I can allow you to do anything but to follow that man? No, if you really want him then, then... You should ask him to stay here". Gerard almost choked while thinking of the possibility of his daughter going somewhere he couldn't reach.

Tiara's face became cramped as she listened to her family's nonsense, she cringed just thinking that she would go away together with a stone!
