As she went out of my sight, I had to get down from the car and go to my office. She should have gotten in and settled down already, so I had nothing to fear.
Walking down the hallway, I tried to avoid looking at where she was seated because I wanted to avoid being suspected of having anything to do with her.
As soon as I passed her desk, I noticed a staff member who ran to her. I was not really free with the way she approached her, and I definitely knew that it was going to be something between me and Emily.
