One evening in April LeAnn called Lory. Lory you need to go take a bath and dress in something special. But why mom? I'm tired. Please just do it and apply some make up. Lory took a bath and dressed in a purple dress with purple high heels she stepped into the lounge. Sean stood in front of her going to his knees, "Lory will you marry me"?
Lory remembered her mothers words of marry him or I will. Yes Sean I will marry you. Lory you made me the happiest man ever.
LeAnn sat there on the couch smiling and Charles congratulated them throwing his next Brandy in a glass.
The wedding was to be in a week's time and Lory didn't know where to start. LeAnn decided the wedding should be white and blue, the confetti was made out of lint pulled with a knife. LeAnn came up with the idea that the wedding will be in court. Lory the fastest, easiest, cheapest way to get married is in court. But mom this is my first and only wedding, I'm your eldest daughter. I want the wedding dress, the walking down the isle, the after party. Lory non of that matters you will look beautiful in that white dress you brought yourself four months ago, and that white semi-high heels will fit perfectly with it.
A week later Lory was standing in a office in court. Old white dress, old shoes, LeAnn braided her hair so it looked like she had a spiral perm. Her make up and nails she did herself. Sean was thirty minutes late, arrived in his security clothes unshaved. Five minutes later they were married. The after party was snacks made by a local club and beer, Brandy and Whiskey. The wedding cake was a normal chocolate cake baked at a local grocery store.
Lory felt neglected, sad and angry at LeAnn. My wedding day was supposed to be perfect, the happiest day of my entire life. Now I'm married to a man I was forced to marry. I didn't have the wedding I dreamed of my whole life. Oh God!
And Sean is drinking again, he promised he will never drink again.
Everyone was having a great time, no one noticed that Lory slipped of to bed. I can't believe I am a married woman now. How can I make this work? What must I do now? Sean cannot afford our own house so we will be staying here or with his mother. She fell asleep crying that night with a feeling of dispair.
