“It is healing up nicely, Nick. It seems like you have listened after all”. Virginia says as she puts a band aid on the fast healing wound. “From now on I guess you can change this yourself”.
I feel an instant disappointment shoot through me. “I guess you are happy not to have to do this in the evening and morning anymore”.
“Well it would be easier if I didn’t have to but I guess you would starve if I stopped coming by with your food”. She says with a small smile. “Cause that's what you are really scared will happen, right.. ? No more food”.
I can’t help grinning. “I would be lying if I said I won’t miss the food, it’s really good food... but I actually like seeing your pretty face and talking to you too”.
