The Night That Changed ME

Chapter-1 “ How did it all start?”

AUTHORS’S POV:

A girl sitting on the window all lost in her thoughts that she did notice a lady entering her room.

The lady takes a seat next to her. The shift next to her made her realise presence of someone other than her.

Not long after the lady called out for her “Lily, worried about tomorrow?”

The girl(Lily) shifts to face the lady and replys in a sweet tone,”Yeah. You don’t get to go to prom daily. And Jake’s words regarding a big surprise tomorrow morning is making me more.. idk how to explain this feeling in words Aunt Mandy.”

The lady(Aunt Mandy) give a irritated smile and says in a taunting manner,” It better be big. What advantage was it for us of him being in the student council when he couldn’t even get the date of the prom changed.”

Lily replied with a look,” Aunt! He tried his best, it’s not his fault that 90% of the members voted for the same date as my birthday. WHAT! It’s like 11pm aren’t you suppose to be in your room sleeping.”

Mandy,”Yeah but there is something important that you have to know and I cannot wait till tomorrow to tell this to you.”

MANDY’S POV:

Here I am outside Lily’s door all prepared to tell her the truth of her life, the one thing i kept hidden from her, the one thing that made me say thousands of lies and stories but just to keep her safe.

That’s some motivation. Owh I like that side of me I don’t what the girls give me side eye whenever i say that.

MANDY stop distracting from the main thing.

I twisted the doornob, it is unlocked. I saw Lily sitting on the window, she sits there only when she is confused and need to think something. I went in and sat next to her, that made her notice my presence. I needed to start with something so I asked about the nervousness visible on her face. It’s making it more hard for me to tell her.

Suddenly the next thing I remember is she asking me to sleep. I think this is the time. I started,”Yeah, but there is something important that you have to know and I cannot wait till tomorrow to tell you.” Seeing my serious face she turned towards me and gave me all her attention. I took her hands in mine and continued,” It’s a little story about your parents and listen baby it can be a little emotional for you need to know this now you will be 18 tomorrow.

Lily whispered,” Is it about their accident.”

I decided to answer that,” Yes, it’s about their accident, their life, answers to many of the questions that will rise in your mind when i tell you everything.” I feel my vision blurring and something wet flowing down my cheeks but I have to finish it.
