Chapter 4 - The Cheers, The Jocks & The Emo Bad Boys

This place was sucking the life out of me and I hated every second of it. The break had just ended and I was now making my way to the third lesson which happened to be Maths. I choose to take my time as I made my way there while listening to my music as I walked. So, I ended up getting there five minutes late, I knocked on the door once then walked in just as all heads turned to look at me. Most of their jaws dropped the moment they saw me. Wow was something wrong with what I was wearing. I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned my head to see the teacher staring at me with a raised eyebrow.

I just stared at her blanking before taking her in. her pale blonde hair pulled back in a tight bun, dark brown eyes and a semi-tanned skin. I shrugged when she spoke again, no sound left her mouth until realised I had left my headphones oh with my music playing full blast. I quickly pulled my headphones down and looked at her again.

“Sorry Miss, yes I’m the new student” I mumbled. Thanking the gods, I can lip read.

“Your Isabella Winters,” she asked I only nodded back once “Well tell us a bit about yourself”

I turned to face the class as they all stared back at me intensely

“My name is Isabella Winters and I was moved here for burning down half of my last school. Also, don’t try to befriend me if you want to walk out this school alive. Thank you” I bow with a grin on my face at all the shocked faces and walked to the back of the classroom I dropped my stuff on the empty desk I sat down facing the front of the class. Miss stood there for a few minutes until I clapped my hands together. She jumped and walked back to her desk shaking slightly.

“Now class lets continue the lesson-” her voice fade as I zoned out doodling in my notebook wishing this lesson would end right now.

We were halfway through the lesson and I was fixing the clasp of my cuff bracelet since it got stuck and wouldn’t open. When Miss called, me out

“What may help you with,” I asked sarcastically not looking up from what I was doing.

“The answers Isabella, what is the answers to the questions on the board” she snapped

My eyes flickered up and then back down quickly before I signed and told miss the answers. “X = 27, AB = 10 and QR = 25. Anything else… Miss Lee” I looked up once again to see the shocked expression on Miss Lee face as she stared at me. After that she just handed out worksheets for us complete in rest of the lesson, I had finished before everyone else, even the homework she gave out a while ago. I had finished everything and was now waiting for the bell to go which was any minute now. I had packed my stuff up and was now waiting for the bell.

RIINNNGGGG……

YES. Getting out of my seat I grabbed my bag and walked to the front of the classroom dropping my worksheets and Math book on her desk before walking fast towards the cafeteria to meet Tobey, Emma and Todd. But I had to stop by my locker first to drop my things off.

When I got there the scene before I almost burned my eyeballs out of their eye socks or whatever you call them. Two people were leaning up against my locker getting busy in front of everyone that could see them. Lucky for them there weren’t that many people around but unlucky for them they were in front of my locker. Now, why did they have to pick my locker of places to get busy on, and on my first day at this school as well? So, I did the only thing I could, I walked to the wall opposite them while searching through my bag for what I needed for this to work. Then. I found it, I flipped it in my hands a few times till it was upside down and then I threw it.

The knife landed point end in the locker next to them. They quickly broke apart and stumbled away from each other in shock they both turned to look at me with pale frightened faces. When I took them in clear, I recognise the boy right away because I'm now living with him and the girl I have never seen her before. She had bleach blonde hair and bright fake tan, with dark blue eyes and lots of makeup slapped on to her face. She wore a cheerleading outfit that barely covers her ass and boobs. What made this so much worst was the fact she had no boobs and was wearing a f*****g push up bra with random thing stuffed inside (I could see it from a mile off).

“What the hell is your problem Isabella” Luke snapped pushing away from the lockers while glaring at me.

“Get the f**k off my locker you walking STD filled manwhore. And take your fake, plastic Barbie with you, she’s giving me the creeps because I don’t know if she’s blinking or her eye is twitching” I snapped walking up to the Barbie and pushing her out the way, she falls to the ground while I opened my locker. And put my bag inside and grabbing my lunch.

“You just jealous” A high-pitched voice snapped.

“Firstly shut the f**k up because your voice goes right through, secondly I have nothing to be jealous of me and Luke boy here are semi-related,” I replied laughing my ass at what she just said while I pulled my dagger out the locker next to mine (That’s probably going to leave a mark), I closed my locker then shoved it into my right boot. When I looked back up I saw her looking at me like a lost dog, a very ugly one at that. I just rolled my eyes at the fact she was still on the ground.

“Luke is my step-brother you thick s**t” I snapped before walking off to go have my lunch. But when I turned around I bumped into the one person I didn’t want to see.

“What Logan”

“Step-brother”

We’re all sitting the cafeteria eating and talking, Logan introduced me to his gang. Yes, the cocky asshole was in a gang.

“You already know Tobey, Todd and Emma. You’ve met Phil. The boy who never speaks Jackson but everyone calls him Jack, Jet black hair over there Ben and last the guy who keeps glaring at you is Chad.”

“So Jack never speaks,” I asked around a mouthful of fruit

“You’re lucky if you can even get the guy to blink let alone move” Emma deadpanned I turned to look at Jack he had light brown hair that flapped in his eyes, dark brown eyes with pale skin almost as pale as mine. And full pink lips. Ben with his jet-black hair and round baby face, his eyes were almost black but if you looked closely they were a very dark blue that was almond shape, contrasting with his slightly tanned skin tone. Chad is the one that was glaring at me, was a light brown skin tone colour with light hazel eyes, his hair was shaved to the point you almost couldn’t tell it was curly. I just shrugged and took my box with my nine-big raisin and oat cookies inside and opened it.

“Want to play the trade game” I grinned

“Yes” Emma whispered

“No thanks, I always lose the good stuff” Tobey smiled moving away from us.

“I'm in haven’t played in a long while” Todd took out three cupcakes and a small bag of M&Ms.

“You said the same thing about strip poker and what were you playing Saturday night at the party before we left” I raised an eyebrow at him as pink dusted his cheeks.

“Let’s just play the trades” he mumbled

“I have nine raisin and oat cookies and pink lemonade” I replied

“What the f**k are nine raisin and oat cookies to trade” Laughed Logan from next to me. I grabbed a cookie from the box and shoved it in his mouth to muffle his voice. He started chewing the cookie before his eyes went wide.

“What the f**k is in this s**t. That’s really good” he mumbled eating the rest of it.

“Make that eight cookies”

“I have three cupcakes one lemon and two strawberries also a bag of M&Ms” Todd smirked throwing the bag in the air.

“I have two cupcakes one lemon with white chocolate shaving and one strawberry also five white chocolate chip cookies” Emma mumbled looking into her bag.

“Trade you Emma two cookies for your lemon cupcake and cookie and you Todd two cookies for the lemon cupcake” I smiled Emma and Todd nodded before looking at each other.

“Trade you my last three cookies for the strawberry cupcakes,” she asked Todd

“Deal”

We all switched everything around. I took two of my cookies out the box and put it in a bag then handed it Emma who put three cookies inside and passed to Todd and gave the cookies I passed him to Tobey who put it inside his bag.

“Thanks, guys” I packed up the rest of my things got up just as the bell went for the end of lunch

“Do you guys always do that?” Logan asked walking beside me.

“When we use to live together in this town a few years ago we would trade once a week and try and let the goods last for that long. It was always fun” I smiled at the memory of all eight of us playing and trading for food when I noticed Logan was still following me making me stop short in my tracks.

“Why are you following me” I snapped out of anger.

“We have the last two lessons together. I thought you knew that” he smirked at me crossing his arms which caused his shirt to tighten slightly showing his muscles through his shirt.

Well, f**k me!

I was in the last lesson for the day with Todd, Emma, Tobey, Logan and Jack. The lesson we all had was music. And since I was new I had to sing a song to the whole class to introduce myself, I looked up at the clock to see there were only fifteen minutes left of the lesson.

“Alright class, now the new girl Isabella Winters will sing us a song,” Mrs Clearwater said giving me the stage, I took a seat on the stool in the middle of the stage. Yes, they had a stage in the music room. I grabbed the microphone and took a deep breath before speaking.

“Can Emma play the piano for me and will someone willing play the drums and guitar for me please,” I asked Emma and Jack got up at the same time. Emma froze and looked at Jack, Todd looked at Jack, and Tobey looked at Jack. Even Logan and I looked at Jack with one expression shock. As he walked passed me to the drum set behind me and sat down. After clearing that for three minutes Emma went to the piano.

“Anyone want to play the guitar for me,” I asked again when no one came I looked at Tobey who craved after a while. Signing he got up and went to the guitar.

“One… Two… Three…” I whispered before I started singing

I looked around the class when I heard the tap of the drums while I sang the one song that brought all my memories from the past flowing back

When I hit, the chorus heard another voice singing with me. I turned to see Emma singing as well.

I felt like choking when felt the tears build up inside but I just kept my wall and my face blank while trying to fight the tears. Once I finished the chorus I jumped to feet walking forward while holding the microphone tightly in my hand

“Thank you” I whispered dropping the microphone then grabbed my bag and left the class before anyone could stop me. The moment the door slammed behind the tears came spilling over and falling down my cheeks. It flashed across my eyes, it was of Annabella, Marbella and I singing the exact same song together. Having fun and dancing away.

Until it happened and my life went crashing and burned away. I have nothing left to live for anymore.
