It’s been almost a full week since I walked out of school because of my hunting past that keeps drowning me. It’s now Friday and I was on my way home from school. I left an hour late because I was finishing my art project for Monday and also because I didn’t want to go home. I was also avoiding Logan all week. I couldn’t face him nor could I stand him.
I was halfway home when I saw it up ahead. A group of boys face towards the wall like they were circling someone I parked my bike a little way up the street so they wouldn’t see me. I took off my helmet and put it under my seat with my bag and got off my bike fixing my outfit which was a black dress that buttoned up at the front with thin straps and went flowingly to my knee, fishnet tights and my black combat boots with my leather jacket and grey beanie. I walked towards them swaying my hips with the look of fear on my face.
One them most of heard me coming because he stepped back and turned around, the gap was big enough to see what or should I say who they were circling. It was a little girl she looked around the age of twelve. She sat on the floor hugging her knees to her chest with her face hidden by her hair.
“OH MY GOD” I screamed running to towards her. I now had all the boys looking at me; they seemed to be around about my age but maybe a year or two younger. “Thank god you found her” I pulled her into a hug. The bottom of my dress riding up a bit, I held her head in my hands so she was facing me. I got a good look at her face because of the street light glowing right above us. She had pale, soft skin that made her green, brown hazel eyes stand out bright and clear with pale pink lips. Tears ran down her cheeks as she looked at me, her long curly brown hair fell down to her chest and stopped at the bottom of her ribs. I carefully pulled her to feet and searched her face. Her hands were shaking so badly I had to grab them I was about to speak. When she looked down towards my mouth as if she needs to read my lips to understand what I was about to say. So, I pushed her hair back from one of her ears to confirm it. Yep, this little girl was deaf; I pushed her behind me and turned to face the boys. There were four of them; I put on my best act before I spoke.
“How did you find my little sister? I was meant to pick her up from school but I lost track of time and when I went there she was nowhere to be found. How can I thank you guys so much” I rushed out in a voice slightly higher than my normal one? I bit my lip as well to add an effect to it, as the boys looked me up and down with lust in their eyes.
“Well there is a way you could repay us,” the blonde one said stepping forward and running his fingers along the hem of my dress. I turned back to the little girl and signed to her.
~What’s your name sweetie and how old are you~
~My name’s Lucy and I’m thirteen years old. No one came to pick me up and I got lost when I tried to get home by myself. Then they saw and tried to do stuff to me~
~Can you be a big girl for me~ she nodded her head tears spilt down her cheeks faster?
~Cover your eyes and turn off your hearing aids ears~ she did as I told her to, I took my jacket off and wrapped it around her. I turned back round to see the boys watching.
“My sister Lulu is deaf she can’t hear anything,” I told them. The blonde-haired boy yanked me forwards, I wrapped my arm around his neck “Where were we” he mumbles I leaned forward dropping the act as I whispered into his ear.
“The part where I kick your ass for trying to r**e a little girl” I quickly grabbed his shoulders and knee him the stomach then in the ball and last I punched him in the face. He hit the ground in a heartbeat as he’s friends lunged at me in anger. I roundhouse kicked one with lots of tattoos in the face when something wet hit my cheek. I looked up to see it was raining when I looked away one of them took that moment to grab me from behind as another came at me from the front. I jumped and hugged my knees to my chest to try and knock us off balance. He leaned back a bit as I kicked the other guy in the chest with both my feet. Then kicked his chin causing him to stumble backwards as I flipped over the other guy yanking my arms back, I landed on my feet behind him. I punched him in his tail bone making him scream out, acting fast I grabbed a handful of his hair and twirled us round throwing him into the wall. He landed face first as c***k echoed through the streets. I broke his nose I guess. The rain had completely soaked me, my hair stuck to my face and dress clinging to my body
“HEY b***h” I turned at the sound of shouting when I felt a sharp pain in my stomach. I looked at the boy blonde haired boy who was now soaking wet as well with wide eyes, then I looked down to see it.
“That wasn’t very nice” I whispered my voice cracking at the end. As I backhanded him across the face making him stumble back a bit letting go of me in the process. I yanked the knife out of my stomach seeing the glistening of my blood wash away in the rain. Holding one hand against my wound to try and stop the blood flow, flipping the knife in my other hand so I was holding the blade. I threw at him, the knife flipped through the air a lightning speed and landed deep in his shoulder. Falling backwards he screamed out in pain as I took deep breaths to hold mind down. I made my way towards Lucy stumbling from the loss of blood. I tapped her shoulder and she let out a scream that could shatter glass. Opening her eyes, she stopped screaming the second she saw who it was, she hugged me tightly. She stepped back and looked at me with wide eyes.
~Your bleeding~ she signed so fast I nearly missed it. I signed back to her while talking.
“It’s fine Lucy just a little cut, come on let’s get you home okay,” She told me where she lived. Turned out she didn’t live far from me maybe two or three blocks away. When we got to my motorbike the rain came down so heavy I almost couldn’t see where I was going. I took my jacket back and pulled my second one out the seat of my bike. This one was waterproof; putting it on Lucy I also shoved my helmet on to her head.
“Hold on to me tightly alright, I don’t want you to fall off” she nodded as I zipped my jacket up halfway to cover my wound. Swing my leg over the bike I waited for Lucy to get on next so she sat in front of me. Once she was on we set off for her house.
I didn’t take us long from how fast I drove but also being careful at the same time from how hard the rain was coming down, because we were soon standing in front of her door as I fought to keep my eyes open and stay conscious. I was swaying from side to side when the door opened to show a woman who looked to be in her late twenties. She had light brown wavy hair the dark brown shades of highlights in it that stood out against her creamy pale pink skin tone, with dark green eyes and dark pink lips. You would think she was still in her teen years. She was a few inches shorter than me.
“OH MY GOD LUCY” she screamed grabbing the little girl up in her arms to hug her tightly. Her head was buried in the little girls’ shoulder. When she finally let, Lucy, go she noticed me “Oh my I'm so sorry coming in its raining outside. Did you find her my daughter?” I stepped into the house being careful of my steps.
“Yeah, I was on my way home when I saw her. I thought I should at least help her out. It was no issue at all, I only live two or three blocks away.” I spoke slowly because I was starting to feel dizzy and light headed. I heard the pounding of footsteps coming down the hall. I grabbed the wall to balance myself as I leaned forward slightly breathing deep and slowly.
“Are you alright dear you’re looking a little pale?” She asked looking at me with a really worried expression. Before I could answer a voice shouted over me.
“LUCY, thank god I'm so sorry I forgot to come and pic- Isabella” my head snapped up at the sound of my name. I looked into a pair of deep stormy familiar blue eyes.
“Logan” I Whispered.
“What are you doing here,” he asked looking shocked to see me.
“She found your sister wondering the streets trying to get home because someone forgot to pick her up. Again” His mother snapped
Logan filched away from the tone of his mother voice then looked at Lucy before his eyes widen.
“IS THAT BLOOD” He yelled running his hands over Lucy’s jumper. I looked at her see she had taken off the jacket I gave her; you could now see all my blood covering the front of her jumper from when she hugged me.
“It’s not her blood” I mumbled weakly “I know, trust me”
“Then who’s is it” he growled at me
“It’s mine” I snapped “it’s nothing to worry about just a little cut.” I couldn’t hold on much longer the edge of my vision started to darken as Logan walked over to stand in front of me.
“Let me see it” he whispered but I shook my head at him and took a step back away him. This only made him take one step forward, I kept moving backwards till my back hit the wall and he was right in front of me. Chest to chest, he stared into my eyes for a long while before I felt my jacket slip and fall on to the floor. Wait! What, my hand pressed to my stomach putting pressure on to my wound but I was feeling too weak.
“That not what I call a f*****g little cut” he hissed. My legs buckled under me and I fell to the floor only to land on Logan as I lay in his arms on the floor.
“Mum call an ambulance quick” he yanked off his shirt and pushed against my stomach hard causing me to scream out in pain. I tried to push his hand off me but I was too weak. “No, stop it now you have to keep the pressure on the wound. Isabella stays with me okay” he grabbed both my hands in one of his and pressed them on to the now crimson soaked shirt that was on my stomach. I couldn’t hold on much longer. So, I gave up letting my vision fade into the darkness and my body went limp in Logan’s arm as he repeatedly shouted my name to try and keep me awake.
But I couldn’t do it anymore. I haven’t got a reason to live anymore.
