Latham tried to speak, but it came out in a gargled growl. He cleared his throat. “That was more than I was expecting.” He’d said too much, Elis thought. He started to pull away. Latham grabbed his arms and threw Elis down on the mattress and was kissing him with smothering intensity. When he pulled back, leaving Elis gasping, his eyes were alight and his cheeks glowing, a contagious smile shaping his kiss reddened lips. “Say it again.” Latham was teasing him, and Elis wasn’t having it.
