Once Kai and Peyton were inside his bedroom, he sighed. Releasing her hand, he stepped away from her, set the dagger on the nightstand, and pushed his fingers through his hair. He felt frustrated and understood the increasing tension in each of his friends. They didn’t know enough about their enemy, and if he was right, more than just their lives were on the line.
