“Is this going to be a problem?” Kai demanded, staring at Jayce with hard, cold eyes. It took several breaths before Jayce backed off and gave a quick shake of his head. Without a word, he stalked back into the loft, closing and locking the balcony door behind him. His body seethed with fury at Nate’s appearance, or more accurately, his disappearance months earlier. Later, when he would think about it, just as much fear coursed through him. He’d begun to believe Nate was dead, most likely at his own hand.
