The sun rays flashed into Naomi's room but she groaned and rolled to the other end of the bed instead of getting up. She jumped up when a knock came on her door, rubbing her eyes as she tries to hop down the bunk bed she shares with her sister. "Naomi, I thought you have classes by 8?" Her eyes widened open and turned to the wall clock, she scurried into the bathroom and had a very quick shower. Not that kind of shower you imagined, she had to fetch water into a bucket before bathing, during the person that she showered. She regretted coming home to stay for the weekend, she would've been in class already if she was at her hostel in the school. After packing the things she brought home, she head out to their merged living room (their kitchen, store and living room was linked together) The dumbest person in the world would easily tell that Naomi's family was poor just by looking at their house, as Naomi got to the living room, her dad was mending his crusted shoes. "Good morning Dad" her pale and tiny voice said, he pointed to her hair and she remembered that there was a bonnet wrapped around it. "I left what I have for what you requested on the table, please try to manage it, I couldn't find more than that" she tilt her head and strode to the middle table. She smiled when she saw the content of the envelope, it was much more than what she had expected. "Thank you Dad…" the father wasn't expecting a thank you but since it's Naomi, he knew that no matter how small that gesture is, she'll thank you. "I'll be… "Naomi!, Wait!!" Moore, Her mom ran towards her, holding a packed box of food in her right hand. "You didn't have to go through so much trouble, I still have food provided by the Royal family in my hostel" she scrunched her face, not wanting to take from what's not enough for them. "You don't have to reject it every single time" Moore patted her wet hair and pushed it to her chest, she hugged her and ran out of the house after picking her phone from where she's been charging it since last night. I really hope I don't miss this class, else I'll be summon- she hated being the spotlight even though she wouldn't stop excelling. She was the last to hop into the bus that was headed to Aberdeen Art's School, she wouldn't stop checking her phone to know how many minutes she had left before the lectures begin. Naomi lost hope the moment they got held up into traffic and she couldn't held but fiddled with her fingers as she was so nervous. "Thank goodness!" She hummed softly and ran straight to her lecture room, just as she was about to go in, three guys walked up to her, stopping her from passing through. She released huffy sighs when she peeped through and saw that the lecturer wasn't yet on board. "Please excuse me, I have to go in" it was so obvious that they were standing on her way intentionally but as she's the easy going type, she'll rather please than argue. "Give us your contact and we'll let you through" she looked into space as if she was resenting someone. "I'm sorry, I have no contact to spare, let me" they pushed her back and if not that she was so quick to hold the door handle, she would've fallen to the ground. "See?, Didn't I tell you?" She looked up to see the girl living next to her in the school hostel. "They want to help your life and move you away from your poor background but you still have the guts to ignore them" the girl laughed hysterically, other students attention coming at them. "Don't insult her" one of the guys chuckled teasingly. "She needs to know her place, how come a poor girl is leading the class?, She's nothing but a rotten carrot, just look at her eyes" she almost poked Naomi's eyes. "I… "Talk!, Say something?, She's so dumb" the girl pulled a strand of her hair and played with it. "Don't you have something better to do than bullying?" A guy snapped at them and they let her go immediately. Naomi walled up to the guy and bowed to thank him for saving her. "I didn't save you, I was only stopping them so they wouldn't disturb the whole class, if they did this outside, I'll just walk past y'all" he rasped leaving her in disbelief, well, all she could do was walk to her seat. *** "Naomi?, It's good that you've paid, unfortunately you're the last student to pay so you'll have to wait a little while before getting the book!"  It was hard getting the money, and now it'll be hard to get the book- she thought to herself as she had expected to get the book and start reading before the next class. "Naomi?" She jolted out of her thoughts and adjusted her head band. "Thank you sir, I'll take my leave" she smiled and headed out of his office and went straight to the school front gate. Naomi clutched the food bag to her chest and sat in the front gate resting area. "Don't cry, I'll feed you now" she chuckled, talking to her grumbling stomach as if it was physical. She open the box and dig right into it without caring that people might be looking at her, her phone beeped and she hurriedly checked whom it was. "What??" She screamed and got choked by what she had ate, she grabbed the bottle water and gulp it down her through, that was when her eyes caught something that might happen. In haste, she rushed from her seat and ran towards the road to save the young boy who was chasing after butterflies. Naomi shouted at the boy and pushed him away before the car could hit him… "Ahh!" She winced and blacked out!
