HUNTERS POV It was now Sunday and I still haven’t been able to shift Abby from my thoughts. I wasn’t lying when I told I enjoyed the lunch. When she spoke about her work i saw a small bit of light come into her eyes, a slight smile appeared on her lips but she would always push it back down. She seemed to be uncomfortable talking about herself. I could help myself. I kept looking at that picture of her on her social media page how someone can change so much. It was almost looking at two separate people. I had to clear my head Abby was consuming my every thought. I changed into my sweats and sports top . I grabbed my running shoes and headed out. I ran a couple of blocks before I ended up and Central Park. I could already feel all the tension from the week slipping away. Running was always go to when things got to much. It not easy coming from money, always in the spot light, everywhere I turn there was fake people wanting to be my friend, girlfriend but it was never me they wanted it was the money but Abby was different she didn’t seem to care. It was refreshing. I stopped on bridge going over the pond I loved it here just watching the people go about there day, it was quite busy here for a Sunday. I just stood there, staring over the over pond for I don’t know how long, until a screaming kid pulled me from my day dream. I looked around to see where it was coming from, I looked to the end of the bridge. It was Abby, she was sitting on the floor with a child he couldn’t of been any older six, in a bear hug he was screaming at the top of his lungs thrashing against her. She tried reaching for a bag on floor next to them but as she did he grabbed her hair so she gave up on reaching for the bag to hold his hand in place to stop him yanking on her hair. I ran over to them not sure what I could do. once I reached them “Abby” she looked up at me I’m sure I saw embarrassment flash across her face she continued to try and sooth the boy in her arms “please Abby is there anything I can do” she let out sigh and nodded over to the bag “could you go in the bag a grab me his ear defenders please” I quickly snatched up the bag and grabbed the ear defenders “could you put them on him he won’t be able to hurt you Iv got him” she asked and continued to comfort him I placed them on his head and stood back not sure what else I could do to help. But it seems he was calming down Abbys hands to relax around him I heard her whisper “mama loves you Jax” to him he just sat there humming and rocking. Once Abby was sure he was calm enough they both stood taking a hold of his hand she looked to me “ sorry about that it’s not usually this busy on Sunday, he doesn’t cope well with crowded places” she said a looked down to her son. She looked absolutely exhausted “Abby” she began before I could finish “sorry but we have to go or it’s going to happen all over again” and she began walking away. I jogged to catch up to her “Abby can I walk with you I’m going this way” it was a lie but I wanted to spend more time with her “fine” she sighed. And we began walking further into the park “Abby can I ask” I don’t even know how to ask what wrong with him without sounding like a complete d**k but she must of known what I wanted to ask “ he has autism he only acts out like that when he can’t handle a situation, I’m sorry you had to see him like that” she said as she looked down at him her eyes filled with so much love for him. This is the only only time iv seen her show real emotion. She’s different when she’s with him, it’s like a peek into the old Abby seeing her around her son. “Please Abby don’t ever apologise especially for your son. You was amazing with him” and I truly ment it I wouldn’t of had a clue how to help him. He began pulling at her arm “mama sit” “Ok we can sit here for bit Jaxson” Abby looked over ready to say goodbye “can I sit with you for a little while Iv got nothing to do today” she nodded and we both sat. Jaxson grabbed his bag and found somewhere to sit taking out his dinosaurs he lined them up perfectly and just sat there looking at them humming and rocking. “ why didn’t you mention Jaxson before “ I asked she put her head down and shrugged. I reached over placing my hand under her chin gently lifting her face till her eyes met mine, I could see a sadness in them “Abby I’m here if you need me, for anything I’m mean it, if you just want to chat,or vent or even if you just want to sit with someone in silence please let me help” her body seem to relax a little “ we’re alright I promise I mean it can be hard at times but we’re fine. I wouldn’t change him for the world” she said with pride I had no doubt that she couldn’t handle it “ does his father help out” I felt her whole body go tense she pulled away from me and stood focusing her attention back on Jaxson “come on Jaxson, home time.” Jaxson began putting his toys back in the bag. “Abby I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to upset you” and that was it, her emotional wall was firmly back in place “Abby? Please stay” she looked down to me “sorry Hunter I didn’t realise the time we really have to go, but I will see you at work tomorrow” and just like that she was walked away.
