However Arthur didn’t back down, snapping back with equal force.
“Ah, so the true colours of this unworthy person finally show, you claim you want to lead the Gordons Clan younger generation, but when pushed forward, you cower in fear and attack us instead. Nothing but excuses—pathetic!”
Agnes clenched her teeth, struggling to find a response that wouldn’t escalate the situation further, but she couldn’t come up with one Arthur had hit her with a low blow for all to see with that one sentence.
