Fiona’s POV
For a moment, it feels like there is nobody around us. Like we are captured in a moment in time.
Like, time itself has stopped still.
I watch him as he watches me. His eyes trace my features like a mad man. The blue in them has turned black. He looks at me like he can’t bear to see me and can’t bear to look away.
It’s not the reaction I am expecting.
I look at him with fear. Fear of what I would do if I am near him again.
My hands are shaking now and I take a step back. Immediately, his eyes narrow, his face closes off and his expression is fierce as he takes big intimidating steps towards me.
“Katherine, keep Amelia with you for a moment, I am coming.” I say to my assistant and then, I am whirling away, almost running towards the nearest exit.
