Liam Duncan’s POV
My head was pounding really bad. I did not remember what happened last night. All I could remember was that I went to walk to clear my mind as I stumbled into a bar and ordered whiskey. Other than that, I have no recollection of whatsoever.
“Ow, my head,” I said as I was getting up from the bed. Wait, I don’t remember when I got into the bed. I looked around as I was familiar with the place, it was not room 214 definitely. I looked around again and was surprised to see that Mia Duncan was watching me like a psycho as she was sipping on the coffee. I looked at her, horrified as I took the duvet to cover my chest.
“What are you doing here?” I said to her as she was not moving from her spot. She sipped some coffee before putting it on the table beside her. She turned to look at me with her slate orbs.
“Sleep well, Hunt?” She said with a cold tone. She got up from the chair and went to open the curtain. It was a different city definitely as there was a coastal view from the window. The buildings were ancient as they were made of red brick and the architecture was the same. I squirmed my eyes as my eyes were adjusting to the sudden light penetration.
“Where are we?” I said as I got up from the bed. I went to look at the coastal view of the Mediterranean Sea. It was breathtaking as the blue clear water was streaming down the coast.
“Welcome to Dubrovnik, the headquarter of the secret organization,” she said as she was half-smiling at me. She looked down at me before looking into my eyes.
“You might want to put on some pants,” she said before getting out of the bedroom.

After 30 minutes of me showering, putting on clothes or trying to find my clothes, I finally can walk out of the bedroom. I was surprised to see that Mia Duncan, a murderer, was able to afford the nice looking suite. It was not just nice but one of the best apparently.
“How do you brought me here?” I asked as I went to take a seat at the table for breakfast. Mia was looking out the sea as she put on her sunglasses to conceal her eyes.
“I have money you know, well, apart from killing. I have my own inheritance if you worried that you might be eating dirty money,” she said as she was looking at me. The breakfast that was being served at the table made my mouth watered. There were scrambled eggs, bacon, French toast, hash brown as well as orange juice and fruits.
“This looks delicious,” I said as I wanted to take it for myself. Mia swatted my hand away.
“Ow,” I said as I rubbed my hand.
“These are all mine. If you want some, order it yourself,” she said as she scooped all the food toward her. I looked at her, bewildered with her behavior.
“Oh, come on. Put me out of misery,” I said as I looked at her. She looked at me with an arching eyebrow.
“Okay, riddle me this, if you get the right answer, you can have my food. If not, you cook yourself,” she said as she looked at me with her eyes concealed behind the sunglasses.
“Okay. What is it?” I asked as I was eager to answer her question. She smirked at me as she leaned toward me to look at me with her sunglasses slid off a bit from her nose.
“What do you remember about last night, Liam? And don’t even think to lie,” she said as she pointed her finger at me. I gulped as my stomach growled with the smell of the breakfast was going through my nostrils.
“I…I… I… don’t remember, okay? Look, I’m sorry if I have offended you in any way last night because I was useless when I was drunk,” I said as I looked at her. She was looking at me intensely as she was thinking about what do to with me. I sighed.
“I’ll go get some breakfast somewhere else,” I said as I tried to get up. Mia put her foot on the armrest as her long leg was showing to my eyes to take in of the sight.
“Sit, you can have my food,” she said. She looked away as I took my seat and she withdrew her leg. “It’s not like it was your fault,” she mumbled. I smiled as I took some bacon and scrambled eggs and poured some orange juice to drink.
“Hey, leave some for me,” Mia said as she went to swat my hand again but this time she smiled as we were having breakfast together for the first time.
*****
After we spent quite some time to eat breakfast, Mia told me that we needed to make a plan to get the information inside the HQ. She said that we needed to act fast before the HQ called her on another mission in short notice.
“What do you mean on short notice?” I asked as I don’t really understand about that part. She sighed as she turned to look at me as she put her hands on the counter of the island.
“What would you need to do after you finished your investigation on a case?” She asked.
“I need to go back to Scotland to file a report about the case and closed it,” I said as I looked at her.
“Exactly. Meanwhile, you might get to travel around the world and see a whole new experience, I am stuck to do some dirty work for the upper hand. I only got 2-3 days at most to relax before I needed to get back into action,” she said as she pulled out a dossier that I never saw before.
“Where do you get that?” I asked as I saw the cover of the dossier, LIAM HUNT.
“You think only you can get information on me? I have yours as well,” Mia said as she opened up the file.
“Hey, stop. That was classified,” I said as I tried to take it from her hands.
“Name: Liam Hunt. Eye color: Green. Hair color: blonde. Birthday: Sept 28. Sun sign…” was the last thing she said before I took the dossier from her and we were chest to chest and face to face with each other. Our breaths mingled as I was looking into her slate orbs as she did with mine.
A message interrupted our moment of silence.
“I think we need to discuss the plan now,” Mia whispered. I nodded as I don’t want to get out of this position.
“Liam,” she whispered.
“Shh,” I whispered as I put my forehead against hers.
“Just let me stay for a while,” I said before Mia pushed me to get out of there and pulled another dossier. I took my dossier before looking at it briefly and put it on the table.
“Let’s begin,” Mia said as she looked wickedly at me.
Mia Duncan’s POV
Calm down, Mia. Calm down. He just put his forehead on you, nothing else.
“Okay, so this is the chart of the organization. We have 3 people at the top management. They are the most dangerous people that you don’t want to get involved with but unfortunately for me, they were my mentors when I was only 15 years old when I joined the organization,” I said I looked at their pictures. Liam looked at them as well as he held up Mr. Novak, which was my uncle.
“He has a resemblance with you,” Liam said as he put the picture beside my face.
“Yeah, I can see it. The eyes, the nose,” he looked at the picture before he was laughing at me. I stayed stoic with my face. Liam looked at me and realized it was my uncle.
“I’m sorry, I don’t mean to…” he said before I held out my hand at him.
“It’s fine. It’s all in the past. Can we concentrate please?” I said as I looked at the other photos. There were agents that have been actively dispatched from the organization, including the second-best, Marco Conti. I looked at his picture as my heart swelled at the sight.
“First love?” Liam asked he was standing behind me. I laughed as that was the most ridiculous question ever.
“No, he’s a friend. He joined the organization after he just got off from jail. I feel bad for him, that’s all,” I said as I looked at Liam. He was looking intensely at me as I looked at him.
“What?” I asked him as he was staring at me that made me uncomfortable. He shook his head before looking at the other dossier.
“Hey, what’s wrong?” I asked him as he was distant since I talked about Marco.
“Wait,” I said chuckling at him. “Are you jealous?” I asked before Liam snapped his head sharply toward me.
“What? How do you get that conclusion?” He said as he looked at the dossier again. I giggled at his cute reaction.
“I don’t know maybe because you have an urge to have me, that’s all,” I whispered into his ear and before I knew it, my back was on the counter, my hands were above my head and Liam's torso was between my thighs.
