Chapter 12: Parents As I turned into the parking lot, I mentally reviewed the situation upstairs in our apartment for the gazillionth time since leaving for work this morning. Wes and I had moved the dresser and desk out of Greg’s room Monday evening. On Tuesday, Wes had transferred the contents of his closet and all personal effects to my room, while I’d reorganized the hell out of…everything. Wednesday and Thursday evenings, I’d devoted to doing the most thorough cleaning I’d yet given the apartment. Wes had winced a bit when he’d seen me change out my toothbrush so I could use the old one to get at all the crevices around the toilet, but he’d pitched in and helped despite the fact I’d gone overboard.
