The tether hummed, a silver thread pulled tight between worlds, and for the first time it didn’t feel like it was going to tear me in half. It felt… steady. Anchored. Because something had grabbed the other end and refused to let go. He’s here, Shea whispered, voice a low, reverent thrum. You felt him. You reached back. Now finish it. Wake up. My fingers tingled.
