Chapter 12 Tough Enough After tossing and turning all night from listening to the chorus of bug-party outside my window, I’d tugged myself out of bed and decided to do some work. I’d been sitting at my desk for a couple of hours when I heard Lafitte burst through the door. He was mumbling angry curses and slamming things around. I stepped out of my office to see what the disturbance was about. My gaze fell on him standing on the ladder dusting the liquor shelf forcefully. He still was mumbling curses under his breath.
