Chapter 5 The farther down the road they moved, the clearer they could see what lay ahead. Cars lined the road, just as Court had said—wrecks, from the look of it, some with the dead bodies of their former owners still inside. Smashed windshields reflected the last of the afternoon sun, which flickered off chrome fenders, aluminum hubcaps, metallic roofs and hoods.
