Kafziel lay back on the bed, staring at the ceiling. The shadows shifted gently as the afternoon sunlight streamed in through the blinds. “Hey,” Jules’ voice cut softly through the room. “What were you dreaming about anyway?” Kafziel blinked, unsure how to answer. He hesitated, twisting the blanket around his fingers. “Nothing important,” he said finally, keeping his voice flat. Jules raised an eyebrow but said nothing, shrugging instead. “Okay, dude.
